Boekhurst in for Thomas. Do we give Jones another chance? Maybe replace him with a runner like Buckley. Smith can remain in the side but as a sub. |

I thought Jones done more fwd than Hendo vs Tigers. I think Hendo needs to go back. I think he plays better there and I think he's more comfortable there. Play Rowe fwd. And if our game plan is to bomb it then Casboult needs to play. Let Jones play as a third tall like Mick & Wiley said all preseason. |

- Drop Murphy. He doesn't give a shit so i don't want him wearing the Navy Blue. - Play Bokehurt for Daisey (WA Boy, mature aged draftee and FFS that's why we drafted him) - For the Love of GOD just leave a forward home at all times. |

White. Jamo. Simmo. Docherty. Hendo. Yarran. Bell. Gibbs. Boekhorst Everitt. Casboult. Jones. Menzel. Rowe. Ellard. Warnock. Judd. Carazzo Cripps. Jaksch. Murphy Sub: Smith or Tuohy In: Warnock, Casboult. Ellard. Boekhorst. Out. Wood, Daisy. Curnow. Tuohy or smith NicNat will jump all over wood. Need forwards that can mark high balls cos that our fame plan, has been that for 10yrs, hence Casboult/Rowe fwd Jones to play 3rd tall as mick/Wiley stared all preseason, not key target Curnow doesn't play unless he tags Ellard prob most proven crumber on list |

FB: Docherty Jamison Rowe HB: Yarran Henderson Tuohy CC: Gibbs Murphy Simpson HF: Walker Everitt Bell FF: Menzel Watson Jones RR: Wood Cripps Judd Int: Carrazzo Curnow Buckley Sub: Boekhorst Side needed more run and needs more weapons up forward. Henderson had no killer instinct all @#$%&! night and it hurt us so much. Throw Walker and Everitt up there in turns and linking to half back in turns. Bell was still threatening even when he decided he couldn't hold onto the ball for more than a 1/10th of a second before disposing. Buckley will add the run that White couldn't; Boekhorst will be more of an impact sub than Smith was. Watson can do more for our score sheet and forward structure in 5 touches than Henderson can do in 15 at the moment. |

Henderson is not a full time forward, needs to play that swing man role to change it up a bit. I would bring in Casboult, might as well see if Henderson Casboult Jones can work early in the season. We clearly aren't going to compete in finals actions so we might as well learn as much as we possibly can this season. |

My guess is.... IN - Casboult, Boekhorst OUT - Jaksch, Thomas They wont drop 4-5...... 2-3 for the next month to get the balance right is what they will do. |

I'd play Boekhurst and sub Clem. |

Do you also see Hendo chasing Smiths man downfield several times while Smith trailed 20 metres behind? Or wasn't that in the TV screen? Its not a criticism of Smith, he's just not fit enough. Liam Jones needs to understand his responsibilities don't only apply when the ball is within 5 metres. Our problem is forward pressure. We can't win enough one on one contests up forward which enables our opposition to zone off. Too often players like Houli and Batchelor were running offensively before the Tiges had even won the ball. 31 uncontested possessions between 2 defenders! People on this site talk about cheating players. Richmond cheat infinitely more than our players. We're just good enough to punish them for it. The outcome is Houli, Batchelor, Hunt and co run the ball up the ground with no pressure and hit up their forwards with ease. Yet you and others are advocating we send into defence the only forward we played who could win a one on one or chased to apply pressure. ![]() |

The three pronged tall forward line is how we should play each game. If Casbolt grabs some marks this weekend, he comes in at FF Everrett and Henderson play HF flank because we never play the guts. Armfield comes in for Thomas. Clem Smith gets dropped for Boekhurst. Everyone seems to want Boekhurst, but he showed nothing in pre season. We can no longer play Judd, Murphy and GIBBS in the same midfield because they get cut up without the ball. Give Cripps time in there or play him out on the wing as a link man. He has good size, he just needs to get some confidence and grow a pair. We can't win, but at least we can start developing a brand and revamping the midfield for the future. |

casboult to camp in the square and lead out from it, and Buckley in a forward pocket to tap the brakes on their rebound. casboult will create the room for henderson and jones. richmond went coast to coast to easily once we coughed it up in our front 50 ... need more speed at ground level there. isn't clem smith meant to be a forward pocket? Mick played him in defense v the tigers. |

Casboult can't kick, therefore shouldn't play |

Rexy wrote: Casboult can't kick, therefore shouldn't play True but many of our forwards showed limited kicking abilities too. So I don't think this is a pre requisite at carlton |

I don't like dropping kids after one week but I think going fwd we need Jaksch to be a fwd. he should go back to the VFL and have a few games as a KPF. We have to many KPP's best suited back. In mean time Casboult plays seniors. Hendo floating defender/swing man opposite to White. He reads the play well and us natural backman. |
