Great initiative by the club to introduce an area at our home games at the MCG for Carlton supporters.
When booking tickets a Carlton barcode will allow you to chose the Heatley end as the option, or if you are not a member you can enter the word Heatley and it gives the option to get tickets in the Southern Stand located close to the cheersquad.
I only wish i had known about this earlier as i booked tickets for my daughter early in the week and the only area available was in the Ponsford stand near the Richmond cheersquad.

I wish I knew about this before I purchased tickets.
All the kids wanted was to be amongst Carlton supporters behind the goals.
I picked 2nd level Ponsford on the other end.

Great initiative.

The Heatley end was down the west end of the ground looking to the East so no issues with looking into the afternoon sun.

It should be down the same end of the MCG.

I posted the same thing. I bought tickets for my daughter on the Monday, a day before this was announced, right next to the Richmond cheersquad.
I think it is a great idea, good to see the club is trying to appease some disgruntled members and supporters.

Love the idea but 3 bays is not enough

Surely there is some way we can criticise this?

This. Three bays is pretty good for a trial run; let's see what happens and if it's successful and at capacity and more stands aren't allocated in the future, then we can comment.

That said, I'll be over in the MCC hoping you lot are roaring along if we're in the mix in the final quarter.

We need another section just a bit around from the goals to be called the Annexe - just have to arrange a wooden floor to be laid.

Used to love it there as a kid stomping my feet with the rest of the stand when we scored a goal

If there's no concrete ramp with an old railing going through the middle of the crowd I'm writing to the Club.

Also it was pretty much in the goal square, rather than the pocket.
