THE AFL doping scandal is wider than previously revealed, with ASADA accusing Essendon* players of taking a second banned substance and sports scientist Stephen Dank of trafficking peptides to club officials at the Gold Coast Suns and Carlton and covering up doping by a Gold Coast footballer.

An outline of ASADA’s case and other documents currently before a specially convened AFL tribunal allege that Dank supplied banned substances including human growth hormone to a Carlton coach and provided the banned peptide CJC-1295 to more than one official at the Gold Coast Suns.

The charges involving Carlton relate to a high-profile coach no longer working at the club.

So you mean we sakc our personnel when they deal in banned substances, instead of offer them new contracts, send them to France and build monuments in their honour? What a weird bunch we are.

Nonetheless, I now look forward to the Kool-aid brigade suddenly screaming for blood now that we're involved. Should be entertaining.

just guessing but id say its Richardson.. Carlton coach... came from Essendon**.. high profile as head coach at StKilda these days...

If Carlton players were given PEDs then let them front ASADA without dragging it through the courts for 2 years.
That doesn't appear to be the case here though.

Yup. If anyone at our club is/was involved in this shite, I'd want them investigated and punished as the situation demanded.

Is it possible when we recorded Alavi we also purchased a little "evidence" before handing it over to ASADA? No suggestion that any player took anything so far and no charges laid against anyone at Carlton.

So can anyone help me out here. I can't see anywhere in the article whether this Carlton coach even injected the CJC into himself, let alone the players with it. It doesn't even state the quantity purchased. Did he purchase it with club money or his own. Come on Chip! Do some research before you put a shit article like this out!

If charges have already been laid against Dank for supplying to this former coach, wouldn't they have also charged the club/players if the suspected the players of doping? Or at least we would have heard of them being investigated if they had any suspicions. Seems they're more concerned with the fact Dank was trafficking these drugs.
