Exactly right. Some of our best midfielders have spent a year or so working on their defensive skills before going into the middle.

What really impresses me with AW is his mental toughness and competitive spirit. If those qualities rub off on some of the other kids coming through, the latter part of this decade will be a glorious period for our club.

Put him on Lenny Hayes, Luke Ball is an in and under type that Johnno will TRY to match up on, not suited to Walker.

AW is one of the few positives to discuss. I don't want to be negative all the time.

Walker has been getting the more potentially devastating running types as opposed to the opposition's main in and under ball-winners, i.e. McLeod, Akermanis and Judd as opposed to Ricciuto, Black and Fletcher..

someone should teach walker where to stand when he's tagging someone, i thought he always position himself wrongly when there's a ball up or boundary throw.
