Couldn't see this posted elsewhere, feel free to merge if I'm wrong.

This was released by the club yesterday.
I like it....much better than the 'blueprint'....no flimsy promises of flags, top 4 finishes, etc.

I get the feeling that with MLG, Trigg and MM, our club finally has some good people at the reins.

Thoughts?

its still more wishy washy crap

you'd hope behind the scenes there are more measurable KPI's and goals in place

Yes you'd hope so. Like any business though, I'm not sure we should expect them to share the finer detail publicly.

It is a bit wishy washy, as any document of this nature will be.

However, it's pleasing to see match day experience, member engagement and interstate memberships all getting a mention.

Actions speak louder than words, so let's hope MLG and Trigg can follow through.

I like it much better than the previous "we will win this many flags by this date" glossy brochure.

Much better.
Well done.

It's more detailed than the last one and implies the more robust KPIs and strategy meetings you speak of.

It's a very solid start.

I get the feeling that the new regime was so embarrassed by the Blueprint that they had to produce a more respectable version of their own.

They're making all the right noises. It seems they've certainly taken on board the member feedback (in visual terms at least with the logo/heritage jumper) but it's all just empty promises until proven otherwise.

The main difference at this stage is that I'm inclined to believe these guys might be able to actually do it. Prior to this the bullshit seeped off the page.

All the talk of 'inclusiveness' means nothing if the members continue to have no say on board representation.

Until the members are once again respected enough to be given a say re board representation, it's all lip service.

It's an improvement on previous, but this needs to be the PowerPoint version only, with the real meat of the plan still available in its raw format to those who want to see it.

What does the Club's constitution say about that?

Finally lifted ourselves out of the 'We are Carlton f*ck the rest / Bring Back the Carlton Swagger' era of Pratt/Sticks/Swann/Ratten, and being run like a Club should be in 2014 and beyond.

board elections

This year there are the usual 3 board members coming up for re-election (Jeanie Pratt, Zack Fried and Adrian Gleeson).

Not a single nomination came forth to run against them, so they are re elected automatically without the need of a ballot.

That's how much enthusiasm there is for board change or members being represented at board ️level.
