Would like to see Cripps as the sub 1-2 times at the back end of this year.

From all reports, he really impacts the first halves of footy at Preston - then tends to run out of puff.

We may as well utilise the situation and get him another taste of senior footy

Reckon we can snag a win here.
Hope Cascoult has a big game, as he's due.
Hasn't really lived up to the hype from a few weeks back.

Wait to see NB's tomorrow. If Cripps is to play it needs to be for full games. See no point in being sub as he needs game time and lots of it.

Menzel may be other option if fit but there isn't much else but I'd be just as happy seeing him get a full game in the reserves as a midfielder. Like Cripps needs to keep working on endurance.

Ellard is in the team for his defensive pressure.

MClean is in because he can run out a game if required.

Cripps can't do either at the moment so I can't see him coming in.

The part of the brain that's responsible for remembering truly embarrassing events has obviously been removed from a number of posters.

It's spreading faster than the Ebola virus - The MC had Watson as emergency for God's sake......and Brock as Sub. :garthp:

Same, I think.

Except I don't want to see Brock as Sub again. We either bring him into the 21 (maybe for Johnson?) or we drop him.

There's not a lot in reserve to replace Brock - it would be a choice between Cripps, Armfield, Garlett & Lucas. I don't think tomorrow's VFL form is going to tell us much, ie. a run on the wet track at Casey isn't going to provide much of a form guide for Etihad with the closed roof. I hope/expect Cripps to play well tomorrow in the conditions, and he needs the TOG, but I see no reason to rush him into the seniors.

If we drop Brock, I hope it's to bring in one of the speedy WA boys. Probably as sub. The only other potential option could be Sheehan, if he gets through tomorrow's game OK.

I wouldn't be rushing Menzel back.

Judd will be sore, but hopefully with the longer week he'll be alright to play.

Bell had an average game vs Freo, and was really tonguing it in the last quarter, but I hope we persist with him. He's one I'd keep playing until the end of the year.

The ruck position is Wood's to lose for the rest of the season.

I think Ellard holds his spot. If he had kicked straight last night, he would have finished with 3 or 4 goals and 7 tackles, which is a decent return.

Cripps ripped it up in the 1st qtr in the VFL. 10 pos, 6 contested.
Time for a recall to the seniors next week me thinks.

..he isn't fit enough for afl.. ...he can get fifty touches in a half at vfl, he still isn't fit enough for afl.. ..we know what he can do, we must focus on his development, which is now at vfl level.. ..lack of fitness is what is holding him back, talent and hunger he has..
