CARLTON chief executive Steven Trigg has resigned.
Blues president Mark LoGiudice confirmed the decision this afternoon.

HAWKS CEO: BOSS SACKED FIVE MONTHS INTO JOB
“We’ve had discussions over the last couple of months,” LoGiudice told the Herald Sun.
“This has not been an easy discussion. We’ve come to a mutual, conciliatory agreement.
“This was all amicable.”
Disgraced AFL football boss Simon Lethlean has been linked to the Blues’ top job for weeks, but LoGiudice said the club would engage a recruitment company to search for Trigg’s replacement.

Trigg will continue in the role until the Blues find their next chief.
He shifted to the Blues from the Adelaide Crows three years ago after serving a suspension for his role in the Kurt Tippett salary cap affair.
Billionaire Blues powerbroker Bruce Mathieson boasted in April 2015 that Trigg would help return the club to greatness.
“The appointment of Trigg was a great get, people wouldn’t have thought we could get him,” Mathieson said.
“We’ve got the best administration we’ve had in 20 years — I can guarantee you that.”
Lethlean was forced out by the AFL in July because of an affair with a younger female staffer.
Reinstated Hawthorn president Jeff Kennett said this week Lethlean would not be considered as a candidate for the club’s vacant CEO position because of his conduct at the AFL.
“We are a family club ... it’s much too early for a club like Hawthorn,” Kennett said.
Trigg is the second CEO to leave the game this week after Tracey Gaudry’s sudden exit at the Hawks on Monday.
The Magpies and Western Bulldogs are also searching for a new CEO.
