AFL flags for me too. Don't want to be known as the new Melbourne who haven't won anything for half a century.

Interestingly enough if this rewrite does get approval and the starting year is 1877 it will just happened to be the same year as SANFL was created albeit as SAFA but don't be surprised if they do set the starting year back to 1870 because then they can start plans to celebrate 150 years of AFL in 2019 (or is that 2020) and flog it off commercially to all in sundry. It's the typical AFL money grubbing way. :roll:

I think you'd have to count the 82 flag as an AFL flags in that scenario as South Melbourne were actually in Sydney from that time.

The logic is sound as the VFA was the pre-eminent football competition in Victoria at the time (1877 to 1896) and by definition therefore Australia as well.

It's about time Eddie let go of that regular "schtick" he likes peddling about us, and shuts his mouth and just thanks us for the start we gave his pissant club back in the 1890s.

I think every flag won between 1987 and 2003 could probably have a * next to them. Some were just cap cheats the rest had cap allowances.
