Personally I'd like Garlett in at the start and if he's not 'on' then take him off and pick him for the reserves next week till he finds his mojo. I like what Garlett brings to the team and sometimes hiss huge effort doesnt come off...then the smart arse supporters suggest he isnt trying when its common for the ball not bouncing the way of the forward week in week out. When it does go his way doing what he does then he's a hero. I'm a fan, and I feel he's been dicked around too much for my liking. If its raining the ball will be on the deck a fair bit and suit him. In fact, I'd rather have Garlett in than Ellard despite one being more prominent as a midfielder. Ellard played @#$%&! all as a mid last week and imo was quite weak as a lead up forward. Ellard is not Betts. Is it really raining in Brisbane? |

I don't disagree with garlett's spot in the side. He is just not a 1 quarter impact player. |

Hard old slog this arvy. Rain has been coming down since 11am, but she's really picked up in the last 30mins. We'll have to be play accountable footy, because the lions might lack upper end talent, but they'll be honest. Rowe to Brown, the mids to help out down back and rely on Waite, Hendo and Menzel to kick a winning score. |

I'm nervous about this game and the slush and the fact that Dees are leading Port now has not settled my nerves.. We better be ready to rumble or this lot will 'get' us today - their last Bombers loss at the Gabba was respectable enough for an opponent that is still a fragile footy team. |
