We need a general down there who will organise the back half. Simpson is that person now however his is 30. We need a KPP general

White and Rowe are only soldiers but can play a role.

If rowe's improvement continues, he might be. Hard to say how good he can be or where his ceiling is, but he is easily CFC's most improved player this season.

I'd throw Daisy back there to be our general in the mould of simpson

I think both have shown that their best is pretty good - it's the difference between best and worst and how often the best is achieved that is the issue. Having said that I've been pleasantly surprised by Rowe in the games I've seen him WB, WC and Saints

I don't reckon you can play a bloke in defence who can only kick it 20m - Hawthorn build their game on superior kicking from defence.

yeah, we're not hawthorn. They have (disposal) quality all over the park. And daisy can go 40m easy and his general field kicking is elite compared to his set shot kicking.

With MM's gameplan we are to chip it out and hold possession out of defense to limit getting burnt on turnovers. imo, Daisy fits that role to a T.

I think its a good solution to tie us over until competent young key backs can be developed in the next few years

I think White can make a very good 3rd 'tall' defender. Worry will be if/when we need him to play as 1st or 2nd defender. e.g. did well on Jessie White, not sure he could handle Cloke or Reid.

Would Mark Austin be getting a game in this backline? Currently can't get a game in the Dogs outfit even with Jordan Roughead out injured. Sits behind Tom Williams and Dale Morris in the pecking order despite playing some pretty good footy in the magoos.

..at a minimum, unless we pay over the odds via trade or free agency.. ..don't worry, it balances out with no young key forwards.. ..happy times.. ..and rucks.... ..and possibly, prime mids..

Where is the "we will turn on them if they play one bad match" button? Or is that implied on TC?

 one bad kick will do it for most here!

Both playing well enough to keep two first round draft selections out of the team
