What makes people think that the 8th pick in the draft will be better than Bryce?

If we recruit well
And it's more a cultural thing
We want leaders
Not softcocks

Thats the point isnt it.
Think back to Moshe's goldfish analogy.

Its about changing the culture of the club.
Were a Melbourne type of team or a Richmond.

I think you can do this by paying Bryce what he is worth and the club needs to ensure that it is not held to ransom.

If he is being paid based on his output then I am happy to see him at the club as his best it yet to come.

If he walks then so be it, we then started the process of changing the culture of the club by not rewarding mediocrity.

basically i think no matter what we do its the same.
if bryce stays or leaves either he or the next kid wont make a difference.
terrible recruiting
crap development
no leadership
no direction
no standards

it wont make a difference

what we need to do is change the tone of the club from top to bottom

Trade him to Adelaide for Talia.

Throw in some others and go after Grigg, Kerridge and take a punt on Lewis Johnston while we are at it.

Basically the tone of this article is that an ex-Collingwood captain feels sorry for Carlton. I guess even for Collingwood people it isn't much fun beating a 2nd rate team with such ease. They at least want a competition.

Last time Carlton beat Collingwood was in 2012 - 9 goals from Eddie Betts in the two games ...but at least we have Daisy Thomas now.

Gibbs is far from Carlton's worst player. Could be good to keep him, could be bad....who really knows...only time will tell.

This is my issue. No point stock piling draft picks and letting go of talented players as we have demonstrated in the past that drafting good players is not a strength of ours. Or do we stock pile with the chance of getting one right.

I think we should let him go. He's a lazy player both in his physical effort and decision making. If we finish around 15th we'd be crazy to keep him on and pass up on a high pick.

Adelaide have no need to trade, it's free agency....

I highly doubt he would leave Melbourne if he moves on from Carlton.

If i was Bryce Gibbs id be demanding big money too, he is 10 times better than Dale Thomas and we paid Daisy $700 k a season ??
If any of us at our workplaces had a new person come on board, do less but be paid more we would all be asking for a pay rise
Gibbs isnt my fav player, and yes he is weak, but he has good skills and is a classy player

Whoever signed off on getting Daisy Thomas needs to step down right now... and Malthouse can go with him as well, hes done nothing

I don't share your logic. It's like preferring a lingering hell over a quick death with a chance of resurrection.
