One thing I'm getting very sick of is our so called leaders coming out and saying shit like "we didn't work hard enough tonight"

Like Jamison today

Here's an idea Michael (and based on last night this also goes for Marc, Bryce, Kade etc) , as a leader here is a novel thought ... How about you grow a pair and also grow some psychological fortitude, confidence and pride, and actually work hard and go in hard every week??

I know that must be a shock to the system, but seriously, instead of admitting every second week that you didn't work hard enough maybe you could try to work hard every week?? You know, like be consistent.

Go hard at the ball and the man
Chase and tackle hard when we don't have the ball
Equally, run hard when we have the ball to create options for your team mates
And try to do it for four quarters
And try to maintain this work ethic even when the ball doesn't bounce your way and the opposition jump a couple goals ahead

I dunno, maybe it's too hard to work hard all the time

No more lip service please
Actions speak louder than words

You just knew after the first few minutes where we actually played like we gave a dam that once we didn't bear fruit for our labour that we'd psychologically give up

Which I suppose is not surprising . I mean it's a tough caper AFL

(Forget the fact Coll had a stack of kids out there too)

It only took about 8 minutes and about two goals down for the collective to bend over and take it with interest

Look Mick may or may not be the answer, but one thing is for sure thee players are just downright pathetic

I started watching Back to the Future late in the 3rd Qtr. I didn't want my wife, daughter and father to have to watch that crap on a Friday night. Kind of ironic - the choice of film - now that I think of it

well... at least he didnt play the game quaking in his boots like the captain did.

there is nothing worse for a football team than to have scared guys in your ranks.. and especially the captain.

last night it was again obvious to everybody watching.. not only does he dive at the slightest touch.. and goes down like hes been shot.. but hes scared.

u can improve your run.. and your touch .. but you cant fix a dysfunctional heart

murph is petrified of contact.. terrified someone might touch him...

that really isnt what you want in your team

Let me add this... when people know youre actually scared you will be put to the test all the time.
Watch murphy next few weeks.... and Gibbs for that matter.
Everybody knows about Lucas]

But watch Murphy and Gibbs get worked over and then allow that intimidation to just grow and grow
It was so evident last night.. because it was handed out by a young team

Lads I don't think I this is about two players

Well maybe it is. I mean as I said the leadership is deplorable

But we know it's also about the recruitment

I don't want to judge the kid too early but @#$%&! me gently with a chainsaw Cripps is scary slow

He and Watson both have concrete boots

And they're first rounders

FAArk

TemAy slow
Graham slow

That's just the slowness

How about the pea hearts?

Lucas
Garlett
Gibbs
Etc

Anyhow I digress. The Carlton players are appArently at an all u can eat buffet. That'd suit them to the ground cause they could pick and chose

Yep, No more excuses.

They just should come out and say we're crap, hopeless and no damn good.

That should do wonders for their confidence ...

:screwy:

are they that @#$%&! weak?

so weak they need their confidence preened?

how about some cold hard facts

YOU ARE SHIT

YOU ARE WEAK

YOU ARE LAZY

YOU ARE NOT AS GOOD AS YOU THINK YOU ARE

then how about some intestinal fortitude from a few that fight back to the above and show some guts and determination to improve?

enough pussy footing around soft precious mindsets for fear of breaking confidence

so @#$%&! weak

Maybe you should pay greater attention
I distinctly referred to last night
Simpson I agree has been our hardest tried but last night he didn't put in as much as he has in recent weeks
Sorry but I'm making the point that you have to give it your all all the time

Do u think Kade would be happy with his effort last night?
I don't think he would be so neither should we

You struggle with comprehension too don't you
Did you n McEnroe go to the same school???

It's about work ethic
Not whether they're talented per we
We all know the level of talent on the list

If Jamison thinks they didn't work hard enough then maybe they should start to work hard enough ... All the time
