Maybe I don't have a good read on it at all, and be happy to be shown otherwise, but I can't say that I feel a great deal of confidence in someone who has been anointed as successor to Kernahan by Kernahan and his faction/backers, given the way the club appears to be run.

Who is he? What does he stand for, in and out of the club? How available will he make himself to people?

You're all too caught up in the man instead of the faction. The House of Mathieson has the numbers now...over the House of Pratt. That's all it boils down to. Sticks was merely in charge to keep the peace. Nothing more. You can afford to have a 'token' President when you're the likes of Geelong who have their house well and truly in order....but not at Carlton. Credit to Sticks - but he and/or someone close to him should have told him the realities a lot earlier instead of constantly pissing in his pocket.
