Like the email. But it’s just words and we’ve heard it all before.

I want material, tangible improvement on field starting on Fri.

Give us wins and we’ll shut up.

The email was better than the interview he did outside the club.
He said Voss is contracted to the end of 2024 and he is constitutionally also around until the end of 2024.
Giving finite dates never sounds good.

Yes I heard about this. Historically when the president defends the coach and specifically talks about their contract, that has typically signaled the beginning of the end for said coach :yikes:

Says nothing: "Where's the prez???!!".

Says something: "All words, we've heard it all before!".

Yep, I am not advocating flicking voss but this email and interview shouldn't give any real comfort.

Same old shit
Really boring
Yes I’m 60 and cynical
But wouldn’t be refreshing if they said something different
Sayers does not impress me at all
Ambitious and hard working yes
Has an idea about being successful at AFL level no
To me when the club is ‘ in crisis” they talk around circles and generalize or don’t even address the question

it doesn't matter what luke or Bruce say ,what matters is winning football games and if things dont improve by years end we are going to lose alot of members

Stability and unity in your football program is what gets you through tough patches.

I acknowledge it may not be what some want to hear but for the next 13 weeks and hopefully longer this season, we are in this together and that is not changing. Every step of the way.

Maybe I'm reading too much into the above, but I read it as - Finals this year or Vossy is gone.

Sacking coach does not fill in the holes on the list.

TDK probably wont make, Pitto works hard but isn't the best. Glaring hole in ruck stocks still.

Mckay is improving but has a shocking year. Weitering has had a poor year.

We have elite talent at the top, but are missing the solid players around them. We have too many bad kick's

We are always less skilled, slower and weaker in bad losses.

I dont see us improving until we get a qaulity ruck, fast line breaking good users a small foward whos ready.

Sack the coach and it's Malthouse all over.

It’s culture. Talent is everywhere but the desire to succeed and be the best is not. It’s above the shoulders.

Right on Rocky .... I agree about our ruck issues, speed issues and lack of a quality small forward.
Our ruck issues began when Kruz went down vs Freo all those years ago. Still haven't recovered. Our current crop aren't up to it try as they may.
Speed .... we are slow .... in thinking and in ball movement. One no doubt affects the other.
Kicking to position ...... Gone backwards (so many turnovers) .... awful to watch and opposition thrive on it.
As for a quality small forward, Martin was supposed to bring that. We've saved money on not washing his jumper. Time part ways. Mots is still a year or two away. Must persist with him. Durdin/Owies... not sure.
I think Cook and co know exactly where we stand and hence talk about don't worry if we don't make finals this year. Some guys won't be around next year.

I'm hoping that we start winning again ..... Reverse what we did in the second half last year. You never know. Finals or not .... there has to changes next year.
