Always hated owing money myself.Could'nt pay it back quick enough...................so,i reckon it is great that they have cleared the deck's.Marco LoGo and Toad maybe bland and dull. But two blokes who roll up there sleeves and do the heavy lifting will do me every day of the week..............top effort for mine.

Unfortunately for a lot of struggling businesses, that's very true.

Reminds me of the Richmond challenge that failed miserably.

Didn’t they win a flag the same year?

The following year, IIRC. Well, the challenge happened in the off season, so perhaps it was the same year?!

haha
Sure does.

A lot to learn from that.

MLG just gets better every year imo.
His results do the talking.

Just get us a flag

I’m back because of recent events
First of all it’s great the club is debt free and the new programs are great
Now it’s time for Pratt and Mathieson to depart

The clubs record over the last 20 years includes
5 wooden spoons
13 bottom 6 finishes
4 finals appearances one a token
No top 4 finishes
You can’t hide behind we are debt free with those numbers
And ultimately it’s the board that is ultimately responsible for this appalling on field performance

Paying two half back flankers 1.5 million over 5 years and two overrated players in Martin and McGovern
1.3 million is a massive concern to me.
Our depth is shit. Proof as usual is in the pudding this year but the effect of this list management strategy will rest on Chris Teflon Judd’s shoulders.

Our List Management has been atrocious over the last 20 years.
Outdated
Out of touch
I left here for a while because some wanker on this site said half of Richmond’s premiership team were spuds.
Clearly no idea
Doesn’t matter what business it is
You won’t get what you want with the wrong people at the top
This is where the clubs problems have been front and centre.
This applies to any business
Been debt free doesn’t mean guarantees when it comes to success on the field which is a Prelim appearance minimum.

I know we have a 12 year limit for board members, but how long since we've actually voted in a president? Actually, have we ever?! And have we voted in any board members after the Elliott spill?

Anyway, a cautionary tale perhaps?

Camel Boy
This article nails it in regards to Carlton and it’s lack of success.
Our board is outdated and isn’t held to account enough in regards to our lack of success on field.
No board member should be on a board over 10 years.
The members vote the candidates in not the board handpicking who they want to replace someone
Pratt and Mathieson don’t belong on the Carlton board.
They have been passed their used by date for ages

McGuire was an excellent president for the first ten years. His last half was disastrous.
He became outdated.

Well yeah, mathematicians call it the Collinacci sequence. 5 losses for every 1 win

In an exclusive I can report Mark LoGiudice will stand down as Blues President, handing over at the end of the year as part of a transition to new President Luke Sayers.
