These media idiots can't get their narratives right.

It's either Carlton are no good but its their own fault, so no help.

or it's

Carlton are no good but they have a good young list so dont need help (this angle is rare)

but now it's

Carlton are hopeless and the AFL need to step in.... yet there is still outrage when priority picks or other help is mentioned.

They are all @#$%&! wits

The thing that complicates the situation in their pea sized brains is the name Carlton. Replace it with any other team and the situation is all of a sudden much simpler.

Saw our illustrious (and quite voluminous) president enjoying a glass of Chianti's finest vintage @ Grossi Florentino upper end of Bourke St just now.

Wanted to say g'day (not entirely out of left field, he knows my old man) and politely inform him that we need to actually apply for a PP... but the bloke he was with was pretty scary looking.

He doesn't have a care in the f'in world.

Not unless it's with Mitch McGoven, Dylan Shiel or Josh Kelly. Preferably all of the above. BB can join as long as he wipes that sickening smile off his face.

Sorry, I tried to read this... But I couldn't get past '' Mark Fine ''

Is he trying to portray himself as a journalist?

As a valued member of our Club, we are pleased to inform you that Christopher Townshend QC has joined the Carlton Football Club Board of Directors.

Chris has 26 years of expertise as a barrister at The Victorian Bar and specialises in Planning and Environment Law with a focus on major infrastructure and development projects.

He has represented institutions and the state government for major infrastructure projects including the Metro Rail Tunnel Project and Westgate Tunnel Project.

Chris’ specialist experience will be invaluable in guiding the implementation of the Club’s Master Plan that will see $35 million in state and federal government funding go towards the redevelopment of Ikon Park.

The Master Plan will provide further elite facilities, an education hub and administration areas to cater for the expansion and growth of women's football and the broader Carlton Football Club as well as improving match-day facilities.

Together with Chris’ vast experience in Planning and Environment Law, his expertise also includes player advocacy within the AFL and other sporting codes.

After an extensive process, the Independent Nominations Committee recommended Chris join the Carlton Football Club as a Director, a recommendation that was unanimously accepted by the Board.

This appointment continues the commitment to on-going board renewal to obtain the skill sets required to successfully govern the Club.

The Master Plan is a major infrastructure project for our football club and Chris’ expertise will assist to ensure this project is carried out efficiently and in the best interests of the Carlton Football Club.

As announced at the Club’s AGM in February, Marcus Clarke retired after having served four consecutive terms of office as a Director.

We are very grateful for the service and commitment Marcus has made as a Director of the Carlton Football Club for the past 12 years. His legal expertise has proven important in all aspects of the Club.

As we continue to improve and modernise all areas of the football club, the inclusion of Chris as a Director will see Carlton maintain a high level of legal expertise on the Board.

Chris will commence his position as Director effective immediately.

I look forward to seeing you at the footy.

Go Blues!
