Cretylus I think you should accompany Mick on his next book tour ... an end of season trip ... you and Mick.
sign a few books together, visit a few war museums together, sizzle a few sausages together, have a hit of golf with Rob Wiley ...
You might find that you like it

its a sci-fi novel - very similar to MM's autobiography with his daughter

(I have about 6 possible titles for it - least of my worries at the moment, seeing as only about 2/3 through it)

How about a brief synopsis?

Does Crety do brief?

I read it as he was working on his navel.

Its set in the future - actually a ridiculously long way into the future. Basically the Andromeda galaxy has already collided with our own Milky Way and so our Sun has already run its fusion porcesses to the ground and become a brown dwarf.

Its a polemic that doesnt involve you usual alien species wars and cliche type Star Wars battles whihc are really based upon westerns and gun slinging clowns running around.

No romance interwoven into the main theme (not yet anyway, you never know, the main character is a little dry)

At this rate, the sci-fi may end up becoming a Broadway type stage musical comedy

Yes, frankly it is asking too much.

The time for him to let us see what the incoming President has to offer is the previous 6 months, where he would outline how he would build on the legacy of previous administrations, and how his administration would steer the direction of the club.

By the time he's in the President's chair, it's too late. He can sit there with his thumb up his arse, flipping us all the V's, and there wouldn't be a damn thing we could do about it.

Why is it so hard for some to understand the concerns others have?

Once it's finished and I have edited it down I will no longer need to frequent this chat site as often. (currently sitting at 712 pages and 2/3 of the way through, its way too long - although perhaps a two part book could be the way to go. An e-book will most likely be the end medium - doubt a publisher will consider running a print with this sort of genre)

I am sure you would like most of the names I have chosen for the characters - Obscure ancient Hellenic warriors like Alcaeon and variations of two American Indian chief names

it wouldnt be a difficult thing to hear who this guy is and what he proposes
any other organisations dont just jettison in no names and tell people they have all the answers.. dont worry about a thing..... this time..

i want to hear policies and then promises with structures of accountability

Problem is most people on our board come from very unaccountable kind of setups and dont understand the word accountability

fahour for as much as they like to bag him must be accountable in his role as head of Australia Post.
This is rather perplexing to me.. how unaccountables like to tell us someone who works in an accountable structure will be unaccountable...

You might want to read that bit again.

Not sure we can survive if we build on this mob's legacy...

the same issues that surfaced with this YCP Think Tank, seem to be applicable to the new presidency

Indeed. But I'm giving Kernahan the benefit of the doubt, and making a more general comment about succession plans overall.
