Fair enough. My attention span doesn't see me through more than 6 sentences.
There's a few posters that I don't even bother with these days because I nod off in the first paragraph.
Don't even start me on the multi coloured posts.
It's a shame, Keogh does my head in when he repeats himself but I admire his passion.

Dear ABNS,

Our vision for a re-imagined Ikon Park continues to move forward.

We are pleased to inform you that after an extensive design process, Stage One of the Ikon Park redevelopment will shortly commence with the proud support of both the Victorian Government and Australian Government and approval of the City of Melbourne.

Stage One will focus on high performance areas of Ikon Park, with internal works to include the establishment of:
New and refurbished AFLW and AFL locker rooms, situated alongside each other
New and expanded medical rooms
New and expanded gym
Upgraded administration area
These works will commence in the coming weeks, so as to minimise the disruption to both of our female and male football programs as we head into the pre-season periods for both our teams.

Furthermore, we are pleased to advise that the Victorian Planning Minister has approved and gazetted the planning scheme amendment for Ikon Park. These special planning controls are a significant step in delivering the masterplan for the redevelopment of our facility.

We will now proceed to lodge our Stage Two plans with the City of Melbourne for their consideration and approval.

This is the largest, fully-funded infrastructure project for Ikon Park, to remain the home of the Carlton Football Club and the home of AFLW. The objective is to provide fully integrated, elite training and education facilities for our athletes, which will give us a substantial competitive advantage when attracting players and staff to our club.

This project is funded under the Australian Government’s CDG Programme and the Victorian State Government Women and Girls in Sport initiative.

We look forward to sharing further updates with you, as we progress with the approval process and construction.

This is an exciting time for the Club. Thank you for your continued support.

Just bought the paper. When I get the chance I'm looking forward to reading that article.

But who'll be first with ''Aw yeah but..........''

Is it the membership increase or the great financial management that was the greatest contributor?

Interesting. There is a former board member (from Greg Swann days) who runs a store in Port Melbourne now (among other ventures I'm sure) and we were just talking about MlG on Friday.

We agree he's done a fantastic job. Feels great the club has written to the AFL to say "thanks, but no thanks".

Great result. Didn't think we would get there this year with all the Covid interruptions, etc. but MLG deserves a lot of credit for this result. He might not be the most outspoken or public president we have but he has done a bloody fantastic financial job to date. We are looking better and better by the day.

Nice to see on a day when Richmond & Collingwood are in the news for all the wrong reasons too

Finally good to see the club in great financial health.

Record sponsorship, record membership and a growing Carlton in Business and Carlton College of Sport that demands $19,500 per approved student are al moving to the right direction.

Cain Liddle as well.
He's the one who has designed and implemented the programs that came up with the bucks.

Its fantastic news and congratulations to MLG, liddle and the club!

Now is it too much to ask for the trifecta of great news and get Cripps re-signed to a new multi year deal ASAP?!

Well done to the club. Fantastic effort given our lack of on field success. Credit too to every Carlton supporter and member that ‘stuck fat’.

Nah, that was Harry Madden.

Sticks' job title is not fit for printing.
