Perhaps read your earlier posts. Either way, the days of members influencing all footy clubs are long gone.
I asked what his qualifications were, and noted that I missed the election. That's not whining.

I wondered the same thing when it was announced.
Luckily I didn't ask the question.
I'd be branded a wino.

You also asked has he ever done anything other than chase a piece of leather around..
I think we are all pretty happy to swap Gleeson over with Judd.. I'd say we are pretty lucky to have him, again.

Er, yeah. Well, has he? I'm not saying he's no good. But out of interest, why do you say we're lucky to have him? Just tell us. What do you know about him that we dont.

What qualifications are you looking for in a Director of Football?

About as much as the next person.
I know he is extremely proud and will give absolutely everything, as he did on the field.
He is a very intelligent and balanced operator.
Having him oversee our football and list management portfolio is a perfect fit as he is a modern thinker who has only recently retired, achieved just about everything and more importantly knows just what it takes to get to the top. You couldn't dream up a better combination with SOS.

We'll if we can't get it right with two of the greats of the competion steering the ship we may as well give up.
Two exemplerly club men driven hard working former champions and a good coach things are looking good.
Exciting times ahead, liking the changes on and off field, success will come again.

He reads the AFR and has mixed with successful business types: http://www.afr.com/business/sport/the-b ... 505-ggukp8

And we know he likes making money from gambling, either from his own investments (with MLG) or being paid to appear in TV commercials: http://www.theage.com.au/business/judds ... 1xzi6.html

With respect, that's crap.

Essendon* also did this in 2012. Hird and Thompson, 2 former greats, driven champions, etc, etc.

I'm not saying he's no good. It's just that he's only ever proved himself in ONE arena, and it doesn't have much to do with running a multi-million dollar enterprise.

So you need to have a skill set of being able to run a multi million dollar business to be a competent director of football ?

Well clearly having experience being a friendly neighborhood financial planner hasn’t worked.

And it took 11 years to work it out.
It will be interesting to see how Judd goes being director of football.
I don't doubt his credentials but l doubt the rest of the board will challenge and question his views.

There seems to be more preciousness around here when views are questioned.

Has anyone taken the view the more committed he is to CFC the more likely his sons will be as well?

Think long term.

I think Oscar is due for the 2029 Draft, if we haven’t won a flag by then, how long term can you get.

Yeah but by the time our current crop of budding superstars have retired with a bunch of flags it will be time for Oscar and co.

One thing should be clear. If Woosha or anyone else from another club rings him and requests that he talks to one of my players he should be telling them to @#$%&! off.
