yes the Oligarchical set up doesnt work
To me Fahour is the guy to go with going forward....
The rest are caught up in faction powerplays built around names and money

and of course theres a leadership black hole.
Having the club in the hands of Oligarchs will do this...
They fighting for control
Others wont walk into that kind of setup

I tend to agree, Fahour knows how a professional organisation is suppose to operate, something Carlton is not.

well if u think about it

fahour is the only one in charge of a non family business on big scale
the others arent used to having to answer to anybody in particular...

the non accountability around this club is murdering it

agree with Wilson fully.

I have been banging on for major constitutional change for years here

the existing debt is to keep the billionaires controlling the board by drip feeding off the debt

I would prefer all directors resign (and personally pay off the debt before leaving) except LoGiudice and Sayers who stay and make the massive changes we need.

There is nothing to suggest from what I have seen that Farouh is the answer.

Gleeson is a dead wood Director

I'd say they'd prefer not to pay.

Unfortunately, think this Club will take the easy way out and stick with the Pratt/Mathieson connections.

Yes. Slowly, slowly our once great club has gone from being one of the powerhouse clubs of the AFL to a middle of the road mediocre club. i wonder how low these oligarchs can take our club...

The Carlton Football Club might be famous but it is no longer the powerful entity it once was in the old VFL. Having failed to keep pace with its traditional rivals in terms of membership and crowd numbers, it has only itself to blame.

True it is.

But it really pisses me off that it can be said.

Mediocrity has cruelled us over many years.

You have - but it's different constitutional change to what Caro is talking about and it's not something that will affect Carlton. Under the current constitution Carlton can have between 6 and 13 directors.

Is LoGiudice as much as a shoe in as Caro makes out? Or is there any chance it would be someone else? I guess there is no chance fahour gets in?

LoGiudice getting in is not a change in the right direction ... same same ...
