Not so much that I don't think, the side isn't great and can slide between mid range and toward the bottom. I'm hoping we have greater match fitness into everyone now and the doggies game is more the norm in terms of commitment. |

I think injuries during a game are easier to overcome now with the capped rotations. |

A win like that shows the players what they can do. It sets a standard and now all players in the club know that this is what is required. Injuries are a part of football unfortunately. None of them are season ending injuries. So they are not too much to worry about. The key is managing the injuries so that the players come back fit and strong and that the players replacing them lift their standard so that they are a seamless replacement. It is a good opportunity for those coming in. |

Quite possibly a blessing in disguise. All three will be sorely missed, but we seriously need to be getting as much experience into as many young players as possible, this forces us to do this. Judd and Curnow are shoe-ins for any game their fit enough to play, with Bell, good when he's good and iffy when he's not. So at the very least there's two spots (important spots) that need filling and I'd like to see those spots filled with up and coming talent. You can't replace Judd nor do I think you can replace the gut running power of Curnow easily. But I'd gives Cripps a run in the guts and Buckley too. Maybe have them swapping with each other for stints up forward, back or both. |

Amazing that Curnow came back on with a broken leg, that's silly, but also legendary. It confirms two things, Curnow is one of my faves because he makes the absolute most of what he has and he has won his chance the hard way, and the next time I feel poorly, I won't go to the Carlton medicos for a diagnosis. |
