Quote:
Tom Elliott, the son of former Carlton president John Elliott, has not ruled out challenging for the Blues’ presidency, as club powerbrokers agitate publicly and behind the scenes for change.

In the wake of the stinging winless start to the season, with questions over the club’s recruiting and on-field leadership, there is a growing call for a fresh start in the key club posts.

It is understood John Elliott has also been sounded out about a return to the board but that will not happen.

I've no opinion on this, but perception is everything. Probably be more chance if his name was Tom Smith.

Tom's very different to his father. I thought we'd established that on this site?

i dont mind tom

hes smart and a clearskin

cant blame him for his dad.

his dad is super smart... but hes run his race.. and there is no way he would ever be allowed to come on board anything run by a mathieson

wouldnt be surprised to see the pratts bring tom on the board.. not sure how he is situated with the mathiesons

Unfortunately for him, a shit stain is what he's been lumped with.

Tom Elliott is now 47, he would have been well old enough to advise his old man how much of a wanker he really is.... Whether anyone thinks that's fair or not, well I don't really care because his old man is the one that virtually destroyed the club.

Surely, to dear footballing gods, there's someone out there other than the rabble we already have and a flower Elliott to choose from.

I'm backing Fahour, the more factions the merrier.....

Does it matter who the President is if he's just a puppet of the families.

Tom's a nice guy.

We don't need a nice guy.

What's more, we don't need a nice guy with questionable family history at Carlton. No matter what anyone thinks of Jack or Tom, Jack's reign ended badly and Tom will be forever burdened by that legacy.

Regards
OR

Bit harsh. FWIW, pretty sure Tom has called his father a wanker a few times. Nevertheless - not sure how it's relevant. What are you backing Fahour for? The Melbourne Cup?

But according to you Mark LoGiudice is a nice guy. Make up your mind. You can go with status quo if you like. If that's the case - I'm done. Club's dead. Should've realised it a while back.
