Clearly the players are voting with their feet....... Is it time us supporters do the same

The current board area a dysfunctional bunch. There are some who believe in change, some who back Malthouse and the others are about saving face.

Stephen Kernahan who's been on every board and been in involved in every decision so far that's got us into this mess. He can no longer have a say in the future direction if this club. The quicker we get rid of him and his side kicks..... The better this club will be.

How do us supporters who share the same view go about putting forward a vote of no confidence with the current administration? Is it possible to spill the board and elect a new president?

How does this process work?

Did you support the Malthouse appointment at the time?

Just interested.

On the player front, the composition of the board or who coaches really shouldn't effect how the players represent the club and the jumper out on the field...

How dare they don't try their best, whatever their grievance or issues are off field with board members and staff etc.. They can sort that out internally or via other means. Look at the bombers with their issues. They may be going down in a screaming heap if infractions are issued, but not without a fight and exhausting every single avenue they can. Even if they lie and cheat their way out of their mess ......Again. Good luck to them if the players escape infractions. Everybody knows they cheated with banned substances anyway.

Members have every right to criticise the lack of effort and petulance displayed by the players in the last couple weeks.

IF MEMBERS Don't like the board then,

Turn up to an AGM and vote or ask questions
Put in your postal vote at least.
Find out how the club is run.
Run for a board position yourself....you have every right to.
Organise or back an alternate
Do something

I remember at an AGM when I raised my hand to vote against a resolution that I thought would result in board stacking, and less say by ordinary members, and was told to "put your hand down". And that was from someone I knew very well sitting a few seats away. I don't usually employ profundities in formal gatherings, but nobody has the right to tell you when you can raise your hand or not.

We get what we deserve, and usually the people who complain the loudest, are the ones that vote these clowns in - election after election after election...

By the way, members can call for an extraordinary meeting and even put in a no confidence motion. It use to be 100 votes only to enable such a meeting to take place. I believe the board recently passed a resolution to change its constitution so that more than 100 votes are required. Not sure how many though. Yes ladies and gentlemen, members PASSED that resolution. It was probably hidden in resolution 6a and coupled with another resolution that was not as unpalatable to voters.

There may be political trucks and dirty tactics going on, but ultimately the members have the power to fry these clowns if they think for minute that the great carlton football club us a okay thing or theirs to benefit themselves or their companies or their egos...

Big jack and his crew learnt that lesson for other reasons (except for diesel and sticks who survived the hoard spill and joined the newly voted in carlton 1 board headed by collo). I am sure big hack couldn't believe at the time that members could even think of doing that let alone organise an alternative against him and his directors.

The one good thing at the blues is that everybody who us a member can vote. Equal say.

At the kangaroos members can't vote, you need to be a shareholder because the kangaroos are technically the only club that's lusted on the stock exchange as a public company.

I believe at the pies and the bombers, not all members can vote at AGMs. May need to be social club members or something. Someone will know in here. Who gives a flowering #%^+ what the pies and bombers do anyway ?

It's an important time In this clubs future and I have absolutely no faith in the current administration making these crucial decisions going forward.

Greg Swann our CEO had sour list management group. He along with Stephen Kernahan have been involved in every decision that has lead us to this point.

Sticks comes from a culture where money bought the club success.

I'd love nothing more than Sticks and his crew of past players to step aside, have nothing to do with club other than support us from the grandstands and attend spirit of Carlton functions.

Bring in a man like Mike Fitzpatrick or a Ian Prendergast as president.

I'd love to see a CEO to focus on administration and finances and a football director be in charge if the football department

I'd like to see a list manager appointed.

I'm 50/50 with backing Mick in.

The layers cannot get away with knifing another coach. I'd weed out the soft c*cks and keep turning over the list

But appoint a senior assistant like a Stuart Dew or a Cameron Ling along with some other young respectful past players to revitalise the football department

I support micks appointment and still do, mick is not the one on the ground refusing to work for one another, refusing to do the 1%, only remember seeing 2 players continually running off for for the give which was buckley and ellard. A change of coach may bring some extra effort but its not gonna hide the fact for long that these are lazy individuals, who are more interested in watching their bank balance grow.

I share your frustration and disappointment, but who are the ex players on the board? Just Sticks and Gleeson right?

And you suggest two alternatives as president - Fitzy and Prendergast - both ex players...

Every club has ex players working for them in some capacity - either coaching, admin or on board level.

In the past, our boards were dominated by ex players. Event he Collo board had, Mckay, hunter SOS, Collo himself and recruited Sticks and Diesel from the kicked out Elliott board.

Wes lofts was a permanent fixture there for a while, Kerr, etc
