Would anyone consider swapping Garlett for Callum Sinclair at WCE?

Good young ruckman who can push forward. If Casboult goes or Kruezer doesn't come up he would be a good option.

I'd consider only if both of those two situations transpired.

We should keep Garlett if he wants to stay.

I'd swap Garlett for Suban

I'd keep Garlett and then give him a game.

Radical.

+1

How easily we forget just how good he is.

If only he wanted to stay.

What's Garletts value?
Just turned 25, kicked 43 goals last season. Averages about 1.7 goals per game.
Personally, I believe West Coast would love him. They're bereft of crumbing smalls. It's a glaring weakness in their structure IMO. LeCras is all class but injuries are taking their toll and he's as much a marking small as a crumber.
Is he worth their second rounder? (pick 29ish)

If he was, what would you do with it? Tom Mitchell may not be worth pick 5 but would a first and second round pick (5 and 29) net you Mitchell and Sam Reid?
Or are you better off picking up a Brayshaw and possibly McKenzie with 5 and 29 and trading 23 and 4th rounder (or whatever rubbish you get for Robbo) for a Jaksch?

I'd do 5 & 26 for Micthell and Reid and Jaksch for Robbo in a flash.
That would be creative and aggressive trading and improve the team immensely.
See what JW and 206 would net us too.
We must be aggressive. I'd chase Goldy and Higgins they would free Henderson from the back line once and for all , also have a look at Mitch Clarke.
Ciao

Drafting 17/18yo's has too much risk.

We should trade our picks for 21yo's who we know a little more about, like work ethic, durability, temperament.

That's a very interesting deal!
It just depends on Tom Mitchell's value - for all the talk, he still hasn't properly cracked Sydney's midfield rotation. Heard Dermie on SEN say its because he still doesn't run both ways. Which he probably should have picked up by now in Sydney's system.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm that's a difficult one!

If we could somehow work out a deal that gets us Jaksch, S.Reid, Mitchell & O'Rourke I would jump at it. That's the type of thing we need to do.

Thinking outside the square:

Menzel to Geelong for 1st round pick and 3rd round pick.

Picks 5 & 23 and some Salary Cap relief for Sydney for Mitchell & Reid.

Picks 14 & 41 for Jaksch & O'Rourke

Casboult to Bulldogs for 22 & 40.

Then trade Garlett to WCE for Pick 38ish?

Walker to PA for a 2nd Round Pick.

Simon White & Pick 40 to WCE for Pick 28

Robbo to anywhere for Pick 40 plus.

Leaves us with picks around 22, 28, 30, 38, 40, 45, 48 plus Mitchell, Reid, O'Rourke & Jaksch.

Fills a lot of holes and then allows us to focus on kids in 2015.

Menzel > Mitchell/Reid/O'Rourke/Jacksh

Don't get rid of the kid who has the ability to be a stand out superstar/ A grade freak. The others have not shown near what Menz has.

Reid is not the answer, he is barely a good 3rd tall. I wouldn't give up more than a 3rd rounder for him which is unrealistic.

hehe definitely outside the square ;)

Sorry to put a tiny little fly in your ointment, but Tom Hartley said that Menzel looked like a Port Adelaide player.

If we trade Garlett for pick 38 then I'll absolutely give up on the club.

2nd and a 3rd rounder for Casboult? I really hope other clubs rate him more than I do.

Just not sure there is going to be as much demand for 25 year olds who have played at best a half a dozen good games, and average less than 1 goal per game as a KPP.

Menzel is a super talented, lazy lair

I'd hold off trading him for 2015 and see if MM can turn him around like Yarran.

Next year has to be a real consolidation year for him where we can be genuinely enthused about 2016 beyond. I'm not sure I feel that way about him for 2015. He's flashy and skillfull, but his intensity for long enough just isn't there
