I posted this last year, thought it is now relevant to have a thread of it's own.

Following is a list of each club's best 5 players 23 and under as at August 2013, with any significant others also listed (someone feel free to update it for now, including the last draft and trades). Makes for depressing reading. Upshot is that all the clubs above, around and immediately below where we finished in 2013 have a bunch of kids who are going to make them improve. We don't. Of that list, maybe ours are better than Melbourne and St Kilda's, although after last year's draft, that may no longer be the case. Note I haven't included GWS and GC in this list. Clubs are listed in ladder order as at when I first posted this in Aug.

Updated as at 13 April 2014. Each team's players 23 and under...best 5 and notable others. I've left out last year's draftees unless they've already played games this year. Haven't included the two new teams. Makes for very ugly reading. Most other clubs have a clutch of great kids coming through, which will keep them up there or allow them to improve (what Geelong has managed to do is nothing short of genius). Our best players are 26+, with precious little coming through. We're going backwards.
