As an administrator what a period Sticks has been a part of.

Blatant cheating of the salary cap.

Pathetic decision making with regard to the move from Optus

Woeful coaching appointments

I forgot to add - the longest streak (along with Richmond) of not making a preliminary final.

Interesting to see Sticks' and Trainor's body language in the stands tonight.

I interpreted it as -

Sticks: bloody hell. These galahs are ruining my year long farewell tour. I mean, the 150th anniversary.
Not happy. Need a crownie.

Ryan: FFS how long do I have to play second banana behind this imbecile.
Can't wait to undo every decision he's ever overseen.

Members don't elect the President - the Board does.

And the Board is now so big that changing it - and with it the balance of power - will take very long (ie only a few are up for election every year). The biggest problem we have is the size of the Board. Due to the size we have a lot of sub committees to keep them entertained, e.g. a marketing committee that no doubt - like some of the others - is interfering in the day to day running of the club.

Only a full "civil war" with a new ticket etc would change that and I can see no one who has the will and the money to do that at this time.

Everyone has a used by date in practices in life. Smart people know when to leave and know what to do next.

Dumb people stay on and run what their running into the ground.

I started the thread the old Collingwood which was taken off this site.
For the good of this site it should be put back up again.why

So that pressure will build on the board.
The board must go
The club must have a completely new set of people who will have a vision for the future

If that happens then we will employ the right people and get the right players and develop them into a top 4 team.

Until this happens we are [REDACTED]

Like synners and I have been saying for a decade now

I got out of teaching 2 years ago for the same reasons. My time was up.

Too many egos and stupid people with power cause an organisation to turn to shit

npobody is ever going to do that....

but remember.... the meeting at the pub with some very low level club employees was going to change everything....

were so far behind everybody else now it doesnt matter

cant be fixed...

were melbourne/ richmond

they dont know it because they caused it... and they think they can fix it

lucky we have dicks portrait at the club.. to remind us of our patron saint into all eternity

we also have his widow and son in law...

he said "20 by 2020"

i reckon he should have said 20 wooden spoons by 2050

the scary thing is that things can get worse....

for years we have treaded water.
weve been lazy and lack initiatives
the pokies wont fix that...

pokies dont give u ideas and make u create a work ethic around the club
they dont give you honesty and integrity
they dont create a cuture of excellence

they just give u a million or two to piss up against the wall with the other millions u squander

the club needs a clean break and then allow new people in who are prepared to work and think.
"we dont want fahour"

"why?"

"fahour leaves a path of destruction everywhere he goes" they say..

are they serious??? :screwy:

Then it's time for those still signing up as members to wake up and smell the roses shit and realise the ONLY way to have a real effect on the current situation is to not sign up until open accountability is restored.

you become a member for 3 reasons really
1) get to the game
2) have a say at the club .. be part of the club
3) help the club

well
1) who wants to get to the game?
2) you dont get a say .. its an Oligarchic set up
3) why help that status quo?

I believe the best way to help the club is by not giving money to those who are just keeping it and themselves just above water,
they need to be noticed.

i also think media will have a big part to play in all this pretty soon

weve been hoping to fly under the radar for a long time..

why under the radar??
because there is nothing they have done to crow about.... so gently gently does it...

i think this club is now pathetic.. weak.. lazy... lacking direction..a shadow of its former self.
sick in bed and very old.. piss pan to one side and wearing nappies gets some visitors.. but pretty soon will die a lonely death .... it just keeps pissing them off with his false arrogance and lies

Thank you Sticks and board... i know you were well meaning.... but youre not the answer.
You never were...
please leave...

Can the media report that we really are a basket case of a club with problems internally around board politics, lack of direction, etc.

This club cannot, and will not, win a flag for the next 10 years, if action isn't taken now!!!

nobody wants to face the fact were mediocre... and pathetic
classic example is dane....

this exact thing happens in cults too ya know....

this is not unique.... the brainwash is on

people will still go to the footy.... pay money
family memberships
the plublic transport or parking costs
$10 for a synthetic hotdog mmmmmmmm yummmmm
$10 for a beer.... its flat and not cold..

and not just that..... but do this on a sunday night.....sunday night too....

you met jeannie?
how was she???

did u meet the portrait???

and in your brainstorming session.. what initiatives were put into place .....???

do we also now have to blame u blokes for where we are???
did u give them terrible ideas???

actually since that meet u had with (i wouldnt call them high level if you didnt meet jeanie or the portrait)..the club is in a faster longer plummet... did you blokes have anything to do with that ??.. or would it have been the same volume of plummet anyway .. meet or no meet??

do u believe the club is reaching out to its people in a more meaningful manner since??

im interested in the pub meet....i wasnt there... either was the portrait i believe

The media's role is to promote their indu$try, not denigrate it.
