What Lyon's conveniently forgotten is that the other clubs had very little to give away.

Carlton had some excellent picks with which to trade. The others had mediocre picks and they wouldn't have traded away any of their up and coming players.

Judd had some integrity, he wasn't going to go somewhere where the Eagles would not get reasonable compensation.

Garry Lyon is ducking the issue yet again. What is he doing for the Melbourne Football Club? What has he done over the last few years? If he would put his money where his mouth is, he would have taken up the coaching gig but alas no.

I have the Biffs, Bumps and Brawlers DVD and Lyon is the victim of many a hit. One might get the impression that he was unfairly dealt with but there is a part of me that thinks he deserved it.

An article by Gary Lyon using his awesome powers of hindsight to tell us all Chris Judd chose the wrong club when he picked Carlton over the three other alternatives he entertained when he left West Coast. Nothing stunning or particularly insightful, but a small fact he states doesn't gel with my recollection of the time. "Kennedy, the player who was traded to the Eagles for Judd, is one of the dominant key forwards in the game, while the forward they kept - who was the Eagles' preference - Brendan Fevola, was traded to the Lions two years after Judd arrived." My memory was that the Eagles weren't interested in Fev, but wanted a WA boy so they wouldn't face the same problem of a homesick Victorian wanting to leave in the future. The choice was between Kennedy and Bower, not Kennedy and Fevola. Does Gary actually have some inside info I don't recall or is he just wrong? I suspect the club would have traded Fev for Judd and kept Kennedy if it were an option. I'm sure I remember the club supposedly offering Fev around at the time, but he had little currency at other clubs. youll get bashed all day long every day..if youre crap u wont get bashed when youre showing that your feared crap clubs always were bashed not sure why people are getting angry when we were great nobody dared... but the crap sides were being bashed youre an easy target if youre crap only one thing will turn things arund.. and its not being crap

yep. It's our turn to be bashed. might shake the club into some action. MM said we have 3 'A' players not including Judd. Our B's can't become A's and our C's can't become B's. (MM's words apparently) When your coach has no faith in you, and is worried about saving his own reputation first, yeah, I'd say we are in a touch of strife.

someone said to me that i poison peoples minds and that the club is going well and hes happy with the direction of the footy club. im a very powerful man ... i posison the medias mind too... after all the club is coming along very well i think these kinds of people are a hinderance to what needs to be done... they really need to look at the club from a step back. the club is losing members.. support.. and presitge as well as ground... shits me that people can say shit liek that to me... "poison peoples minds eh"???? one of the worst things people can do is try to stop some from criticising because theyre afraid of the fallout .. when in fact the problem is the people around the club and not me. i took great offence of course.... iF ANYBODY again suggests i have to do something or shit up... ill go more ballistic than i did to that person... i dont have to do jack-shit except point the spotlight at these morons around the club....the media is about to join in and expose these fakes for what they are. but do not ever again suggest i ether do something to kick them out or "shut up" ahmad fahour is a much more powerful man than i am and hes not been given a sniff.... ill do what i do best.. and do the spotlighting... its becoming obvious for everybody now anyway.... but i wont stop... "put up or shut up..." pfffffft.. as if...!!!

Out of the four clubs Judd picked on his list only one has had any success - the rest have risen no higher than mediocrity and have generally just been plain shit. Dumb article.
