We have a bye in a couple of weeks -
we can be competitive against Melbourne next week - notice I didn't say win
Its our 150 th celebration and we can wallow in past glories
I have something on the night we play Collingwood so cant go
Don't have to buy finals tickets

Be plenty of space at carlton games this year because our fans wont turn up after the performance last night

We can go into the recruitment thread already and think about who we get from other clubs and then in October/November don't get who we want because they don't want to play for a crap spiritless gutless team

1945 VFL season.

Carlton lose first 3 games, including a round 3 loss to Essendon* by 100 points.

Carlton win the flag.

Anyone got any photos of kittens to post? They're nice!

Perhaps not........a hell of a lot of people hate cats.

Anyone got any photos of shiny things instead?

Ooooooooh shiny!

I'll be out of the country when we play Collingwood.

I'm looking to relocate O/S for at least a few years, and I'm in absolutely no danger of being out of the country during a golden period.

We're so hopeless as a club from top to bottom, that I seriously don't care any more (this is good. No more pain)

On a related note, we are so poorly led as an organisation, there is zero room for false hope. It's a totally honest relationship between club and myself now.

The world is full of incredible things to do when you're not wasting time watching footy.

Most supporters of other clubs now realize we are like Melbourne, and are no longer a power, and aren't coming back anytime soon, so they've stopped giving shit after we put in an inept and spiritless performance. It's has been replaced with pity. But after a while of me genuinely not giving a shit, even the pity stops coming.

Overall, it's much better to be undeniably hopeless than it is to be permanently mediocre. At least this way, there can be no confusion.
