When is someone going to sit down with Bryce Gibbs and tell him a few home truths about how he is perceived both inside and outside the football club??
This is the bloke who wants his own club to present to him a blueprint of their vision for the future and pander to him like a spoilt little Gen Y brat who thinks its all about him, he wants the club to beg him to stay.
Here's an idea....... How about Bryce Gibbs stands up in front of all the coaches and all the players and presents his blueprint on how he plans to develop into the player that his "potential" has promised for so long but has never eventuated. I want to see his proposal for how he is going to develop some heart and actually hunt the ball and his opponent. I want to see his forward vision on how he plans to convince "us" (the fans) that he actually gives a shit.
Bryce, If you believe your an on-baller then prove that you can actually play the role consitantly rather than the weak stuff u served up tonight!!!
I have made excuses for him for too long (its Rattens fault/he was played out of position/ He's still young/ leadership is a burden etc... etc...) and I believe the club has to make a stand NOW instead of letting a "potential" good player dictate to the club.

Maybe Gibbsy doesn't want to be used as a stop gap anymore.
Why should anyone blame him for that.

when are people going to realise that he will only ever be a good player, definitely not worth the money that has been bandied around

my expectations for him have considerably lowered over the years

the only reason we are really keen to keep him is because our list is so ordinary, that is a bad situation to be in

again we will continue treading water

for all the criticism that Murphy has been getting of late, at least he has produced consistently good football over the journey

I think Gibbs is as good as he will ever be. Was well tagged last night. His best is much better.

Thing is though, this blueprint issue though is based on an unfounded, unsubstantiated article by a Richmond supporter.

Verbs you are Wrong. It was confirmed by Swann during his interview with KB on SEN. Swann sounded a bit peeved and described it as unusual.

I know we're Collingwood obsessed, but expecting Swan to run a football club is a bit much.

Swann on the other hand may not see the year out at Carlton.

Stop peddling misinformation...the ceo is the key role of a football club

President ,ceo ,coach, recruiter, football operations and list manager are the key roles..

Fall down on at least one role you are dead as a club....

My blueprint for Gibbsy is to look at the money Simmo has been on, knock off 20% for failing to match his intensity and endeavour and add in 10% for unfulfilled talent and potential, tell the club that you will take a 15% cut on that to acknowledge their great support and your commitment. Become the player you should be and you're next contract will reflect it. Still if Daisy is on $700k, there will be lots of players and managers with an inflationary opinion of themselves. Why can't Gibbs and Big K be Cotchin and Nicnat!

Had a shocker last night. Maybe the publicity is starting to get to him. Maybe his manager should keep his mouth shut.

Time to move on.
Should ve sent him to GWS for Tommy Boyd, but unlike the Hawks who got Hodge for Croad, we didn't have the balls.
The way he's playing at the moment, would let Gibbs go to Adelaide and get the Top 10 compo Draft pick in return to tell you the truth.
Wont go near the Finals this year, so there's another Top 10 pick.
Happy with Menzel and Cripps the last two years, so have faith that two Top 10 picks wont be squandered.
