After the last 2 weeks its obvious that the side needs a renovation - hope Mick coaches for the rest of the season on this basis - must play every week from now on lucas bell buckley Watson menzel
need to blood cripps and give graham a go
Need to give these guys the confidence and game time to seek to take the footy club forward in the future - ned to get them playing consistently 4 quarters of football because we haven't done this now for about 4 years
Don't play Kreuzer Judd carrazzo until they actually are fit

Make a decision on rowe ellard white

And by the way improve our bloody kicking for goal ITS KILLING US TIME AND TIME AGAIN

Hope the 150 th celebration doesn't get in the way of this ie pressure on winning games to the detriment of playing young players

Put your team out there, Frank, with all the youngsters in there? Who makes way, or like you say, don't play those on reputation/under injury clouds - easier said than done at this club unfortunately.

Buckley Jamison Watson
Tuohy Henderson Simpson
Yarran Gibbs Thomas
Walker Casboult Menzel
Garlett Waite Everitt
Warnock, Curnow, Murphy
+Lucas, Graham, Bell, Cripps # Holmann, McInnes, Bootsma, Docherty, Giles, Cachia

We aren't exactly going to torch the season and play the whole list just yet, though the chances of us making the 8 don't look flash.

Play Watson every week?!?!?! I have seen enough he won't make it.

Cripps, Holman and Graham will get opportunities but I we won't chuck them all in at once. I don't see what it would achieve by doing so.

We will see at least half of McLean, Bell, Robbo, Cachia and Ellard gone by seasons end, out of those Bell has the most upside and I think Cachia would offer us more than Robbo at the moment.

Buckley and Menzel were massive plusses from tonight. We need to see how Buckley goes when opposition get more of a look at him but he seems like a version of Lucas who actually relishes a contest and has a bit of spunk to him.

So don't nuclear bomb the whole thing. There is still a fair bit to work with, just we are paying for awful and non sensical recruiting.

If we lose to the bummers that's it
Time to play the kids everyweek

If anyone can do it and be backed up by the board,
Its mick

agree we also need when he is fit to play Docherty - we need our youngsters to learn off simmo Jamison Henderson and of course judd when he is fit
Don't think I am burning the season too early - well behind Port who are top 8 material and cant play a composed enough games to beat wobbly tigers who almost give the game back - we also need to find a new group of leaders as this one has taken us as far as we can go
Club needs to recognise and be truthful where our list is at - present senior list has taken us as far as it can and will have us marking time if we don't try to re-shape it - take a step back play the youngsters and go heavily into draft from a good position

Port are top four contenders.
Very well balanced side.

Didn't see the game but sounded like we played some form kick to kick in the first quarter. Big bombs hoping for hangs and crumb goals.

Is that a list issue or a Mick issue.

It's also what we did lat year IN A SHIT LOAD OF GAMES, most notably the Bombers game which we should have won by 20 goals.

complete failure of a game plan

bombed long for ages and had 5 contested marks late in the 3rd

constant turnovers

can't win footy like that

Really killed the vibe to the start of the year as well. We shouldn't lose these games if we don't have to.

Mick wasted last year, and this year too by the way its panning out.....probably another book launch coming soon.

Maybe Swann has some staff changes in the pipeline? I hear Phil Manassa and Micky Gaffer are looking for part time work at the moment

If we lose to Essendon* that will be two years running we've lost our first three games. To be top 4 you can expect to lose no more than 6 or 7 at most. Losing the first three means making the 8 is a stretch.

We will finish in the bottom 4 to 6 anyway. Gibbs will leave, we will have two top 10 draft picks. The draft will sort it out for us.

However we know that first round draft picks don't guarantee success

Carrots should not be on the list. He shouldn't have received a long term contract at the twilight of his career. It is not like he is a star that every other team wanted. Another stupid contract decision.

Mick should start with renovating his own structures, game plan and his persona first.

Pathetic coaching.

Play one on one footy.
Play our FF from the square.
No more spare man in defence.
No more boundary line.
No more long kicking to an opposition advantaged defence.
Attack through the middle of the ground.
Teach them to run and block , not run for a receive all the time.
and for god sake practice set shots every day.

You are there to teach, so teach them how to shepherd, lead, use the handball as a weapon and for !@#$ sake work out our midfield extractions.
Nearly every other team set up their teams to use and work with each other to get a productive clearance. What we do is bomb the ball blindly most of the time because there is no support, no understanding, no cohesion, no talk.

Stop acting like an old sook and !@#$% coach.

We wipe out the board first before building a new list
