Thats exactly the point. ruce isnt looking at those who do the hiring and the firing.. the board etc its the recruiting group.... its like the collingwood argument.. who hired them is who the spotlight should be on not them. nobody wakes up in the morning to draft lucas bootsma watson etc etc etc.. to be them when theyre drafted were hoping someone else gets them that we have and we get the good versions that someone else got. what mathieson should be doing if we were a fair and honest with our supporters club is have a full indie internal review covering everything and everyone.. then he would be right... but that might also point to outside interference from certain familes geez this club is [REDACTED]!!! scapegoats everywhere..from the people who have created this mess..!!! |

who knows if it's the recruiters or the coaches? maybe these kids would have been top players at other clubs? surely you can only surmise where the fault lies and try to fix it. |

..I can think of a few players on our list that would be widely recognised as elite if they went into the cats or swans or hawks systems.. |

bruce needs to face the carlton machine is no good..swann ... mm..the recruiters dont pay themselves they dont interview themselves they are not the people charged with setting course for this club look there bruce.. look there..... start with a fair dinkum internal review of the club if you think we hav ebeen shocking for eight years ... we allowed them to be shocking for eight and then maybe they were excellent choices but we didnt have a follow up maybe this club is totally clueless all over the place do yourself a favour... have the review you might just learn something its as big a mystery as the MAS jet disappearance... what happens at the Carlton footy club theyre supposed to be out there looking for it... why dont you look for what happened to us?? |

Maybe Bruce will add SOS onto his payroll once he is announced as the blues head of list management end of this year. With Clubs already working on poaching some GWS talent they have amassed some people at our club believe we hold the biggest ace up our sleeve..... GWS's list manager and Carlton premiership player and club champion Stephen Silvagni. Sticks and bear are trying to make it happen. |

What has killed us where we are now is our diabolical recruiting in the 09-11 drafts. Our picks from 60 or below between 2009 and 2011 are what has destroyed us: Lucas, Davies, Kerr, Watson, McCarthy, Mitchell, Bootsma and Rowe Now in that same period we did much better from below 60 or in rookie drafts, I mean Casboult and White are no superstars, but offer a more than any of those draft picks! Actually our drafting in general outside of picks in the top 6 has been awful. Its why we have this unbalanced side which drops off dramatically talent wise after the first 12 or so. Its also why I think we rush players back from injury or play them injured, as their replacements would leave us uncompetitive. In the process we have shortened Judd's career, and have an injury riddled Kreuze and Murph as well. |

The recruiting has been the worst over the past 10 years. But how many years did WH head up the recruiting dept??? 6-8? Why wasnt he removed earlier. Again its that board. Jeannie, Bruce flower off the lot of you |

He has been saying this for a while and has a point. We have neglected our key positions and tried to solve that in one draft.... the 2010 draft, which has proven a pretty poor draft. Journalists know they will get a comment from him when things are not going well. |
