In each of the 3 Practice games and now the first round we have been out run by the opposition:
North almost over ran us, Crows smashed us in the 4th, Bulldogs,........and now, well, well

I don't think it has much to do with fitness or lack thereof...laziness on the other hand...you can rarely coach that out of an athlete.

Fitness.

You won't run if you can't run.

Affected our disposal as well.

I'll give them a few weeks but it's a fail to the new fitness guru at the moment.

They don't move the ball quickly, slow everything down and then turn it over, again and again.

It's very tiring chasing all night.

There is a lack of fitness, but there's a few other things going on as well.

What confounds me, is we put a guy like Menzel in the green vest. We struggle with our central run, we really need to have a mid coming into the game, not a small forward.

Playing two rucks catches up with us by the 4th too.

Collingwood didn't look great under Cordy either.

Adjusting to new preparation and routines will take time.

It's mental. Not enough players who go hard enough for long enough!

Agree.
Menzel was wasted as the sub. Either play him or don't.

True.

That performance was soul destroying.

It can only get worse.

Has nothing to do with fitness. This day and age, there would be barely any difference from one AFL club to another surely. They all have the science, knowledge, fitness gurus etc. Compare the personnel in this game....their gazelles with Brock and co. We expended huge energy just tackling and containing in the first quarter, but once we'd dropped off as we had to it was game over.
