Stephen & his 2 sons were sitting in the Gardiner Stand on Friday watching the practice match

This wouldn't have anything to do with a rumour on the rumour file this morning on 3AW, which said that a Carlton great past player was refused entry to the dressing room at last weeks practice match and was heard to say that the club could kiss any father/son prospect goodbye.

Well the lads are going nowhere but Carlton, so that is a start. After Sticks pulls up shop at the end of the year, I am pretty sure there is nobody left from the days of the Salary Cap Breach. No good reason not to come back, no matter what grudges he may have had or who he didn't want to get along with. I understand that he is doing something important up at GWS at the moment, but opportunities will arise at Visy Park. If SOS made it known he was looking, we could probably MAKE a position.

I read elsewhere that it was Whitnall who was in this position. Not sure myself who it may have been, but it is important to heal any wounds and get the guys on side. No good creating issues that may hurt us for no good reason.

No that was Whitnall. If you search Whitnall on twitter people have been tweeting about it since Friday night.

Not to mention the added pressure on young Dane Whitnall who should just be enjoying his time in the Under 13's...

It's an indictment on the club that SOS hasn't wanted to be involved since 2001.

I can't think of a player in the last 25 years that has conveyed more courage and strength than him.

While we're at it, let's make him bring Boyd, Treolar and Shiel with him. All need to come home to PP.

SOS is a legend, let's bury the hatchet what happened happened and he was put in between a rock and a hard place.

He is one of the best defensive coaches around too. Heck he turned Robert Lewis for the swans into a good defender.

We just sacked a recruiter.

SOS is a recruiter at GWS.

Match made in heaven.

Any chance Sticks is saying this because something is in the pipelines, or am I just being naive :P

....when SOS retired I recall an article he penned in the Newspaper saying that he preferred that his sons did not follow a career path in Aussie Rules...
