Jamo (back in after not nominating last year) as deputy vice captain. Gibbs back after not nominating last year (further reinforces my belief he will stay if we give him a fair deal). Brock, Hendo & Walker join leadership group for first time. Good mix of age and experience. Leadership across the ground - especially if Hendo or even Tex play predominantly forward. |

Agree, not saying they were chosen for any other reason other than their leadership qualities. Just thought it an interesting fact. |

Considering the players nominate themselves and then the playing group votes out of those nominated, I highly doubt the footy dept have strategically put these players in the group because they are out of contract. In fact, I'd take it as a positive that uncontracted players nominated themselves to lead the club. |
