Put up your hand if you're keen to keep supporting the likeable Tom Temay! Mrs Caz isn't able to coordinate the sponsorship this year and I am happy to take that over if there's consensus to keep going (I hope there is). We need to confirm our intention with the club by Friday and we then have until the end of February to come up with the $2500 to continue as gold sponsor. I have put my money up the past few years and didn't even think of whatever it was you just said. I think the bummer boys get their drugs for free. Ours have to pay for them. Hence the sponsorship to help out. Yes / No ??

The money goes to the club, it's a form of fundraising I guess. I prefer to do this as opposed to the ubiquitous raffle ticket. We get access to club events like the guernsey night etc. It's a simple way for punters like us to be involved in a level of sponsorship we may not otherwise have the capacity to particiapte in. It's harmless and need not really be criticised. This should very much be a case of if you've got nothing nice to say then don't say anything at all. |

Come on Dr I'm sure if anyone knows where the money goes it will be you so don't be so coy. And if you don't know that will be a 1st on TC. The Sponsorship is general fundraising for the Club. The money has to come from somewhere to dress the lads in all the CFC gear. That includes football jumpers, shorts etc, etc. It includes the players suits etc. I know they have a suit sponsors but I suspect the Club puts some money towards it. It also helps pay for all the medical tapes, lotions and hardware. The money will pay for a multitude of costs incurred by the Club within the Football department. It is simply another way of fundraising for the club with the added bonus that you actually get a player to support as part of the deal, rather than just putting money in a big bucket. Ok...Cheers! Miscellaneous fundraiser. Good to know. Some might have been under the impression they were donating to the kid. Always good to know where the money is going. Thanks for clearing that up. |
