Pretty sure SYD airport has shut down for certain hours for the residents, maybe between 00:00-06:00 Tiger, Virgin all the same?

Sydney (our world city) has an airport that goes to bed early... you'll have to stay the night

Sorry but you won't make it.

Your only hope is to drive through the night if you leave Homebush immediately after the game.

Curfew is 11pm at Sydney airport.

I went to the final in 2010.
By train, it took 40 minutes from the ground to my airport gate.
Might have been lucky with connections.

Don't like your chances.

I was there as well... express from central station to homebush and same for the return trip... free fare with game ticket

The airport line was a ripoff though

Thinking of doing a road trip with a few mates. What's average driving time from Melbourne? Haven't drive to Sydney for years.

so, you can catch the ferry from circular quay to homebush..is it far from there to the stadium?
would be a nice way to do it.

on the other hand, anyone know if we'll be able to watch at PP?

An easy 10 hours if you minimise stops and share the driving.

I've never actually driven Melbourne–Sydney, but have done Canberra–Melbourne several times and do Canberra–Sydney a few times every year.

Canberra to Homebush, with a good run would be about 2 hours 45. So that would be about the same from Yass, no more than 3 hours anyway.

Melbourne–Yass should be comfortably doable in under 7 hours, it's only a touch over 600kms.

Google says it should only take you 8 and a half hours for the whole trip. http://goo.gl/maps/o2gsB

Question to Sydney TC'ers - is there a train/bus service from Central direct to ANZ? How long do they take?
