At the game yesterday, I mentioned to the bloke standing next to me that Jamison is without a doubt the best full-back we have had since the great Stephen Silvagni. Now, I'm not saying Jamo is better than SOS, what I am saying is, after SOS' retirement, it took the club the best part of almost a decade to find a suitable player to fill the role. After SOS, we had Mick Martyn, Livingstone, Thornton, even Fevola on occasions during the dark days try to fill the role, and while there is no disrespect meant to these players, none had been able to do it as effectively as Jamison has. Playing on Brown yesterday, it is fantastic to see that the club have a settled full-back, playing fantastic footy. The great thing is too, he is still relatively young, and brings everything with him when he plays - leadership one of his notable qualities.

Thoughts?

You think?

Surely Mick Martyn provided more value for his 12 or so games playing on the gorilla's.

I think Kruezer might be our best ruckman since Matthew Allan.

Wow! Now that you mention it, CD, I think you may be right. As good as Livingston and Martyn were, I just think you're on to something there. Wonder why we didn't see that.

Three more seasons of this quality and he'll be the best full back in the comp since SOS.

Essendon* Supporters will tell you that Dustin Fletcher is better than SOS.

In his first 5 games he became our best fullback since SOS. Which is both a tribute to the natural talent this bloke always had, and an indictment on those that preceeded him.

Thank you Gavin Crosisca

Funnily enough, it doesn't feel like a great Carlton team until we have a great Full Back. Some would say our Full Backs have been the cornerstone of our success. Check out this list:

Forget about the number 5 (well don't forget about him), without the number 40 we'd be farrrrked.

We even have a backup slowly developing in the wings.

I can't believe no one has mentioned the great Stephen O'Reilly's name.

Some of you need to get a grip...if you're not going to contribute positively to the thread, then don't contribute at all
