With Carlton having one of it's most disappointing seasons Mick escapes the heat. He never come under the intense Media he should have(except by Robert Walls). James Hird really deflected the heat the whole season until the AFL who had hoodwinked the footy public the whole season finally refused the Bombers their place in the finals. Malthouse is saved by a lucky win by a point over Port Adelaide.Carlton who lost every close encounter through the season except this one get in at the expense of the Kangas the best team out of the finals. You have to be cynical of the AFL as they sit by and let Freo gift retiring St Kilda players a party that gives Ross Lyon on opportunity to attempt to redeem himself to the players and club he shafted two years ago |

I seem to recall that Carlton beat this so called best team outside the finals by a point a few weeks back. As things stand at this time yes, the kangas are the best team outside the finals if you look at their ladder standing, we just happen to be better than that seeing as we are actually inside the 8! Had they been good enough to beat us in a close encounter they would have been playing finals instead of us , so i guess we earned our place ahead of them. ![]() |

Carlton only sneaked into the finals on the unprecedented elimination of the bombers at the very last minute whilst it had been obvious for months that the bombers were not going to be in the finals. |

Blues won 11. I'm really struggling to see your point. Percentage is a secondary measure used only to separate teams should they end on the same number of wins. We are where we are and the Kangas are where they are. 11 beats 10. It's really not hard. We were the 8th best non-cheating team in the league. That means we get to play finals. The cheats were disqualified because it's assumed that without the unfair advantage they got from cheating they wouldn't have been in the position they were in. If you're going to troll you should take some lessons from Cerberus - he's awesome! |

lets face it North won 10 games with a percentage of 120. Now that is bizarre. At one point during he season they were second in % of time they were in front of games. bizarre ironically the Blues can beat Richmond and who knows Still a token if you ask me and call me old fashion but those baseball caps backwards are not a good look |

Unlucky for him we can't kick straight. There's another three or four wins. |

DISAGREE! As others have said. Deserve to be there! Beaten teams in the 8. We have had a more difficult draw then others inside the eight and really only failed miserable in about 3 or 4 games throughout the year. With a little more luck or resolve, we could have easily beaten a couple of the top 4 sides as well. |

I am sick of hearing about North being the best team out of the finals. Fact is North lost to - Carlton Adelaide * 2 Brisbane West Coast Gold Coast Can people explain to me how they deserve it more than us? People think North didn't make the finals because of some close loses to top teams. No they didn't make it because they couldn't beat the teams around them. |

And we have to remember Essendon* were on the gear so they dont deserve to be in the finals. So 8th is about right for us. Don't think we will do much in the finals but out of all the clean teams we are the 8th best in 2013. |

Troll. I guess we should decide the whole ladder by percentage and forget about wins and losses. |
