Something for the bellyachers to consider
Mick's Coll always had a very experienced backline
I remember comparing ours to theirs in games played and the diff was ridiculous
Now Mick is at CFC and he's stocking the defence with experience
Might be something in all this

Maybe he will fashion a new and young midfield over the next couple years
Lucas, Cachia, next will be Graham

Henderson looks like becoming a wonderful key forward
What we need is for Warnock to grow a pair so Kruez becomes the versatile second ruck/forward, or for Caz to develop his tank so he can get to more contests

But the point of this thread is the defense

Jamison
Walker
Scotland
Simpson
Maybe Gibbs
Maybe Waite also
Touhy

He's stacking the backline with as much experience as possible it would appear

Granted Bootsma and McCinnness will get exposure too
And Watson

When we can turn defense into defence we will be a chance

I am happy with our defence and it's future.

Simpson has been great in a back pocket. Temay is the future.
Jamison is okay. White is another option.
McInnes will be a star and I haven't written Laidler off yet.
Walker has found his spot on a HBF.
Waite should be CHB (McCarthy/Watson others) and OKeefe, Bootsma, Gibbs, Lucas, Armfield & Tuohy are options for the other flank.

Given a bit more time we look okay IMO.

Walker is great at rebounding but one on one he is a nightmare
I don't understand why he doesn't play wing given his running ability and so his marking prowess
Maybe it's his lack of nous with ball in hand??

Yep - I know I sound like a broken record but what the hell.
Let's move our midfielders into defence, delist our defenders, choke our midfield with taggers and then cry that we have no midfielders.
No wonder Juddy and Murph are losing it....

Oh and while were at it our forward's too.....

The other thing I like is that as McInnes gets more experience he seems to be getting more letters in his name...

No point of the thread is once again, grandstanding.
Go back and have a look. Under Ratten they all played defence except Simpson.
Or were you living in Bermuda with no TV

How about we let MM be judged by his performance instead of his campaign managers and spin doctors coming on here posting rubbish.
Surely if Mick is a good coach, his results will speak for themselves.

so we can limit the bleeding from the inept game plan we have.
