5 goal win in a game that's higher in quality and intensity than tonight's. |

The tactics are quite simple. Let them get out to a 30 point+ lead then reel them in. It's a proven approach. |

Will the commentators get stuck into North supporters when they boo Judd? |

I'm sick of re-runs. Play North on a Friday night, Kangaroos play so far above themselves, umpires kind to North, Blues players running around like headless chooks with NFI, our forward line looks a shambles, we cop an injury to a handy player, Harvey, Thomas, Petrie all have blinders, five goal loss. Might go to the movies next Friday night and watch something I haven't seen before. |

We must play accountable football and not give up each contest so easily. Too many times we just gave up on the contest. Stop it!!! |

They'll do the 'modern flood', like they've been doing for the past 3 or 4 years. Need to lock onto their chain of possession early and rattle a few cages. The kind of play instituted tonight will go a long way to helping with that, just need a better defensive performance from midfield; they need to restrain themselves and play on the counter. |

bluedog wrote: I would drop Watson. And send who back, then bring in who up forward? It's a sink or swim moment. If it's not him, it's McCarthy, Laidler or White, or Hendo to defence and we bring in Mitchell or Casboult. Pick one! Welcome to the selection committee, where every decision has a trade off. Be thankful that it's a reasonably talented list in many aspects, just a vastly underdeveloped one, hence the small gathering of foot soldiers in the pool of players to pick from. I'd stick with Watson and put him on Petrie or Tarrant. He didn't bounce off Riewoldt in a contest, so the trick here is not to locked into a (literal) arm wrestle of sorts with Petrie before he uses you as a push off board for a lead. Jamison may need to mind Black if McInnes or Walker can't do the job. FWIW, I think the only change should be Menzel in for Armfield, with Yarran tasked to play all of his minutes in a midfield role. Everyone else earned a week's reprise. |

Agree about those players especially Petrie who seems to monster us too often They will lift against us, we win we are a good show of playing finals but lose and I think we may be gone |

I would play Laidler instead of Watson. We need to improve markedly to win next week, hopefully the win has given us some confidence. |

Play an injury recovering 189cm player instead of a 195cm key. Really? Just give us the speed and not bog us down with taggers this week. Won't be too many changes for obvious reasons but will be interesting whether we play both Carrazzo and Scotland this week. |
