Just a quick note

Dropped an email last week - got call back from steve starling the same night. Had the initial chat with him today and will see how we go from there.

But some points
1. Easy to deal with
2. The business is still going (despite the lack of advertising/promotion from the club)
3. Revenue from mortgages written by premier finance would go to the club finances

So yeah - given the historically low interest rates atm if anyone is thinking of purchasing or refinancing their mortgages, consider dropping Steve a line on 0401 776 582 or stephen.starling@carltonfc.com.au

Or perhaps better yet, given how poorly the club promotes this potential revenue stream, give the club a call and ask for details so that they know that there is a potential group of people out there that would utilise this service.

Btw - just to 'disclose' (to alleviate concerns from randoms like 'harker') I've no financial interest in premier finance & am not steve starling.

For those that havent been on this board long enough, premier finance was an initiative that was launched by the club in 2008 -http://www.talkingcarlton.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=20638&hilit=premier+finance

http://www.carltonfc.com.au/club/premier-finance - according to the club's website, it is 100% owned by the club

This "random" was setting out pose the query before you were shut down for spamming, as your OP didn't quite divulge your interest in the matter.

Only indicates how ill informed most supporters are of club initiatives - pretty pathetic really

Maybe 4thchicken but a little information may have given your threads an extra kick
I'm sorry if I don't know who Steve is and at best guess, I wouldn't be alone.

You intentions are obviously well-meaning but calling others pathetic may just not serve your cause

pathetic refers to the level of effort that the club puts into their own intiatives and marketing thereof. There was a specific reason why I posted up a link to the carlton fc email address and urged supporters to contact the club directly about the initiative -> Its been around since 2008 yet from a social media perspective (which footy forums fall under), how many supporters are aware of it?

I consider suggestions that I might be steve starling or have a personal financial interest childish/ill-informed rather than pathetic.

To expand - I dont see it as a supporters' job to be informed of club initiatives/news/events - that is the domain of the club. So any failure to get a message out is a result of what the club isn't doing.

O.K. but no need to take things personally.

No offence intended and most wouldn't know 4thchicken from the 3rd one. You can understand, yeah?
