just a question DC Blue.. is Lucas someone who stands up in a physical contest? ![]() answer it...!!! Cachia was wonderful.. yes he stands up. Henderson had a howler with his kicking. Jeffy is back to old habits... MM should ick the ball to him before games. Didnt like Rowe in the side.. too top heavy and theyre getting in each others way... Juddys back game for the year. Simmo ditto. |

How can a team go through the better part of a half of football with 2 free kicks Holding the ball Head high contact Buddy playing on out of bounds without going over the man on the mark Illegal disposal Dropping the ball Deliberate out of bounds Reamed again. |

Losing flower sucks. These losses flower hurt. Gutted. Again. Some might argue we have improved but losing is losing. We still can't take that next step and I fear that this will end up being another wasted season. |

If 'argumentum ad hominum' is going to be against the rules, the umpires need to be consistent and pay it if it's there. No favourite teams or home ground advantages. WCE is bad over there. Now it seems it happens here as well. |

Best game I've seen from a Carlton side this century. Still a long way to go but worth keeping in mind the team we played are flag favorites. An even spread of decisions and we probably win. But I'm actually not that fussed about the result. We take that attitude to every game and we win 16 or 17 for the year. Mick now has a better idea of what he has to work with and it's a whole lot more than he might have thought last week. Very different games. |

Simmo ditto. My answer to that question is not important (but, for what it is worth, I think that his game lacks the necessary 'toughness' to take him, and the Club, to the next level). |

Second quarter hurt Few misses which would've (and should've) put us up 4-5 goals. IIRC McLean and Tuohy missed very gettable goals. McLean played a ripper but his shot on goal came about as a result of great forward pressure; it would've lifted the team. Cachia and Curnow run their guts out; Cachia excellent in close. They aren't very talented player; compare their work ethic/desperation with Lucas. The Hill/Lucas contest highlighted Lucas' failings; can he become more desperate? Casboult more threatening in the air than Kreuzer. Crucial period in third where they had 3 on 1 against Casboult and the defenders kept kicking it there and Hawthorn kept pumping it back in. Old Waite - sure soft free but didn't need to do it. |

I actually thought (now that I have almost calmed down) that with fair umpiring we would have won this. eddie's snap when he should have handballed, and curnows miss could have still won it. so I thought we did well tonight and showed enough to think we are on the right track. even rowe and lucas were ok. but can someone tell my why Mitchell wasn't free-kicked for that one-handed throw? was a free poaid against waite? |

Just really lacking depth. Playing good footy but relying on too few. Gibbs & Simmo were fantastic. Bootsma will be good but not ready for current role. Play wing. Rowe in defence or nothing. Please give Laidler a go. His kicking and third up work is missed. Missed Murphy badly. Thought Lucas was good. Carrazzo, Graham, Bell, McInnes, Menzel, Yarran, Ellard will improve that side. |

But doesn't the rule book say something about it being ok providing the player doesn't change direction? ![]() ![]() And what happens often is the ump will call 'play on' when the kicker is OOB, but that seems to be ok. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Yes the push in the back happened before the "throw". |
