CarltonFC: Swann: "Visy Park is still in good nick. We've got a meeting with the AFL coming up to see where they're at regarding a boutique stadium." CarltonFC: Swann: "We've had architects out to see how much it would cost to bring Visy Park up to scratch." |

Was hearing that, he mentioned that today would be an obviously ideal game to play there where we could make 500k with only 20k there. |

If this is legit (which I don't think it is) what would they do with the fact our swish training facility takes up the whole Royal Pde end? |

The quote says the architects have been out so they must have figured out a way, a couple of ways I imagine. It wouldnt be that hard to incorporate it in a new design. If we cant get to 50,000 members to got to the G as home this could be a good option? Exciting stuff . |

Your own stadium is a fantastic point of difference between for any side and, if you want to survive long term, would put you ahead of the competition. Let's hope it's us. |

We'd all love to play home games at Princes Park. What Carlton fan wouldn't. Whether it happens in the future or not will never alter the reality of the past, which made any such thoughts impossible. |

"The infrastructure's terrible, it's too small, too expensive, the AFL would never agree, etc." It's probably all true, but it's also true that a few games at PP each year would would be the greatest thing the club could do to boost membership, identity and belonging. |

Because it's our home, it gives supporters a sense of place and of our history. It makes you feel like you're part of a club. You don't get that at docklands. It's a soulless, empty room. You don't feel like you're supporting a club but a franchise. You want your kid to be a Carlton supporter for life? Let them have a kick on PP after a win. |

Are you serious ? Are you? You don't think having a high quality (all be it small) stadium is a point of pride and therefore a selling point for memberships.? |
