Here's a clip from last night's broadcast that gives a brief insight into Ray McLean and the Leading Teams program at Carlton...

It looks like the secret leadership group is made up of:-

Juddy
Carrots
Waite
Scotto
Jamo
Smurph
GIBBS
Simmo

There was an incident on a boat cruise?

I don't recall hearing anything about that...

Shhhhhhh! It's all top secret!!!
It's like the training sessions, let the media in to see but keep the pesky supporters in the dark.

Interesting to see Ray McLean was on the bench with Ratts during today's game.

Aker's view may be slightly jaundiced.

Aker's view isn't balanced. I'd argue Aker would find it difficult to offer up a referee that was able to demonstrate him as a team player......or leadership material for a large and complex group.

A vehicle like Leading Teams is part of the mix.....as is talent, administration and resources. It shouldn't be seen as the panacea.

However, in our case, we were desperate to re-invent what leadership style was right for the team. The Leading teams format is "situational" ie what is right for your culture and work to your strengths.

Are we performing better as a result of Leading teams? I figure it is one component. However, I am impressed by the improving leadership maturity of guys like Jamo, Russell, Carrotts, Murphy etc.

I have experienced something similar in my previous job, there may be benefits but I believe they are short lived.

Seems this forum has an American style, self-concious, self-congratulatory aproach to humour... just saying. :yikes:
