Three big milestones for Round 8:

- Heath Scotland, 250 AFL games
- Marc Murphy, 150 games
- Andrew Walker, 150 games

Oh and looks like a good game too.

One week at a time etc etc

Respect that abns, and don't want to disrupt normal site processes, but those milestones were worth highlighting. A pre-game thread seemed the best way to inform the masses, particularly given those 3 players.

The 150 game mark is interesting.

- Carrazzo is on 159, debuting late 2004 (just the 2 games)
- Waite is on 155 games, debuting in 2003 (?)
- Walker hits 150 shortly, debuting in 2004
- Murphy hits 150 shortly, debuting in 2006
- Gibbs is a week or so behind, depending on his injury, debuting in 2007

It shows what we all know - Waite's injuries have really slowed him down. Also shows how many games Gibbs has been able to put together with minimal injuries.

Also shows were not young anymore and our players are at that age they should be challenging

Yep, agree with that. It was a bit of a shock to see Waite being 30 in the team list on the weekend. 30 is when the body falls apart (bang on the day in my case) and yet to some he is still the forward line hope. List management in recent years has been poor as you've highlighted in 2 or 3 threads.

It might also reflect who has put their head over the ball and contested consistently.

1) Waite
2) Carazzo
3) Walker
4) Murphy - outside player
5) Gibbs. Plenty of question marks

Many changes this week. Injuries, suspensions and flat-out idiocy.

Hamish Hartlett has been tagged out of it the last two weeks - the pressure will be on him; he is their biggest weapon. He needs to be stopped.

He's just another on a long list of poor kicks.

If Carrazzo is fit you can't play Carrotts/McLean/Robinson/Curnow/Cachia.

Hampson
Yarran

In:

Carazzo*

MM could make a real statement by leaving Waite out
