61 Points.

Maybe about where it should have been.

We were made to earn that. The dees endevour at the contest was solid. Happy to take a 10 goal win.
Nice to waite back. Made a difference.

Why can't we be as clinical as some other teams out there? We played, lets face it, a team not worthy of vfl status. Just can't see us being contenders anytime soon.

10 goal win, games in Waite and Cachia, Hampson better - will take that

Hope no serious injury to Yarran.

Jeffie is just flying this year and Hendo and Brock are solid consistent performers - well done to them and the conditioning staff

bank the 4 points and % and move on.....

Some good, some bad and some ugly.

Cacchia looks good.

Back line looks settled.

Waite's important and stupid.

Warnock could be a star if he could stay on the park for a few years.

Our midfield's a bit scattered at the moment.

Garlett in career best form.

Did what we had to and glad the Dees had a crack int the second quarter and we had to respond but not much to learn from this game.

Some very strange umpiring today.
It was almost like they felt sorry for the Melbourne rucks, Warnock was penalized a few times for good body work.
He had 44 hitouts today :)

So no next week we could be without Kreuz, Waite, Yarran, Gibbs, Carrots.

Well I got my benchmark 10 goal win, albeit just. Ah well, glass half full, there were some good signs.

Waite was terribly scratchy early, but improved as the game wore on. Warnock was great. Hampson god awful in the first half, but good second. Keep Cachia in the side, the kids a great kick, we haven't got many of them. The Three Amigos great as ever. Hendo fantastic game in defence, good disposal too. Not too many passengers, Ellard had a tough day against Jones. Lucas plenty of the ball, seems so often to be unsure what to do with it though. Lacks confidence?

Other than that, move on, not much to see here, a regulation win over a crap side.

We got the 4 points plus % without really breaking a sweat. How much more clinical do you have to be?

Just look at some other results this week. Collingwood plodded along to beat the saints. Essendon* had to come from behind against GWS. Hawthorn only just put away a side we thrashed last week.

Forget about the other beltings Melbourne have suffered this year, they've regrouped a bit since then. We never once looked like losing and that's all that matters.

Good solid workmanlike win.

First game to another player and Waite looked good.

Defence and tackling pressure very good.

Getting better all the time.

Dunno what to make of the result here. There were some good signs, and some stuff that could be improved, but that's all needing to be filtered through the fact that we were playing Melbourne....

I am most happy about the performance of the backline. Hendo was excellent, Jamo and White both very good.

All players seemed to contribute well, Judd probably the lowest quality game when compared to how good he is, yet we still won the game all over the park.

Hampson grabbed a few in the second half and looked good - just cant kick at goal. His field kicking was OK actually.

Waite... dear God please just play footy and use your head (not to headbutt....)

Umpiring was pathetic for both teams.

Can we please get an open letter on behalf of the 45k members and all the fans sent to Channel 7? STOP SHOWING MEGAN GALE. STOP WITH THE SHIT STORIES ABOUT HAMPSON. STOP WITH THE SHIT COMMENTARY ABOUT THE THREE AMIGOS. Makes me want to stick a fork in my eye....

Cachia looked OK actually. Quicker than I expected. Decent kick. Might be a player !

One of the things Mick wanted to change, was Carlton's reliance on Chris Judd. i think he can tick that box. we've been far more even this year, even if the wins haven't been spectacular. loving jeffy's work this year. Hendo's kicking is sublime. Jamo marking the ball well too.Glad that Melbourne had a real crack today. much better for our team to fight off a stubborn, yet undermanned team, than a 15 goal walk in the park. not too many lapses today.
