Hughes and Rogers gone, Synners and Mr Caz to lead a debating team that determines who we draft. Please PM the team Captains so we can fill the positions. |

Thanks for organizing and letting us know about the Q&A session Luca. We've held the sessions on TC in the past, its great to see it on the club's website. Please pass on our appreciation to Ryan as well. |

I wanna know if Ryan got club permission for this ... usually directors that talk to us get into big trouble.... |

Whilst its a good initiative, I'm pretty much over board members trotting out the "I've only just joined the board" line when spinning an answer to questions. It's about time we saw some positive action (apart from the roads, sanitation and public health) from them and come out on the front foot more on these Q&A sessions. |

I know that he knows that there are certain areas where the club has been lacking and he's prepared to roll his sleeves up and contribute in a meaningful way. He is a self-made businessmen and entrepreneur. He's bought and sold businesses in a range of industries including security, payment technology and personal fitness. He's innovative, he listens and he's not the type of person to stop at being innovative just to keep up. He wants Carlton to be successful across a number of areas from marketing, membership, communication, sponsorship, coaching, engagement, development. Of course - words are easy. You and I could be cashed up and clever and do what Ryan did tonight. What I'm hoping is that members see more of Ryan. He is a good communicator and is very genuine. Ryan didn't have to put himself at the mercy of the wolves and put his name up as a board candidate. But he did because he wants to make a difference. I get the distinct impression some others have started that way and their new energy, new voice and new ideas have been drowned out early. I doubt the same will happen with Ryan Trainor. Of course - he doesn't need me extolling his virtues, he's doing that already. Would make a very good VP in the not too distant future. |
