One year deal? A lot less cash. That's fine.

Article is a summary of his 6PR interview from last week.

Nonetheless is welcome news. Half expected him to call it quits. One year deals at 'fair' money and I'm happy.

He has been brilliant for us for the most part but has also been well looked after.

Doesn't seem to be the news it once would have been. Maybe because there is someone bigger than him at the club now.....

This is a rehash of a rehash of a rehash.

He first said this before the season started, almost word for word.

The reason it's not a story is because he took the "story" out of it. I wanna play, they want me to play, we'll get it done.

Now, if he'd said 'I really don't know if I want to continue" then it would have made the front page.

300k plus incentives.

300K plus incentives is massive unders for mind. He is still in the top 3 players at the club IMO, and should be paid as such. Champion of the club and I don't really understand the sentiment in this thread. Whilst I would hope there would be a smaller salary cap hit given what we had to pay to get him, he isn't going to play for (relative to the industry) peanuts and nor should he

Maybe a two year deal with an option on a third will see him through to the end.

The space he will leave in the cap will allow for a very interesting off season of trading I should imagine...

He has said on several occasions that he only wants 1 year deals from now on.

Everyone has to take a hit if you want to win a flag. i agree it is unders but more than half of Geelongs list would be getting paid unders.

Still a very good player. Decided to take my five year old boy to every Carlton game after his footy clinic. At half time we'd run out onto the park outside the old press box and kick a footy flat out for 20 minutes.
I'd think a 2 year contract on whatever Carrazzo is getting would be fair.
