Jarrad Waite set to miss Carlton's blockbusters Quote: CARLTON forward Jarrad Waite is expected to miss the club's early season blockbusters after another setback with his troublesome calf injury.
Waite is not expected to be available until Round 3 or 4 at the earliest and, given his poor fitness base, may need several weeks in the VFL before he is ready for senior selection. |

So it's come to this has it........... "Jarrad Waite set to miss Carlton's blockbusters" Here's tomorrow's killer headline: "Journo refers to Carlton 's first few rounds as "Blockbusters" which sparks a whole new thread of alarmist anxiety riddled outcries over the unavailability of J.Waite in the early part of the season which was already a well known and publicized issue" - we knew waite wasnt going to be playing round 1 or 2 weeks ago. and that he was very likely miss (or be in the 2's) for rounds 3 and 4. It was made clear from the outset that he would miss a small chunk of pre and early season games, pretty sure this was well publicised and communicated via club docs etc about 3 weeks ago?? did I miss the part where club docs announced Waite could be a possible walk up starter during rounds 1-4 given improvement on the injury?? derrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr-uppppp? This isnt news, it's taffeta journalism....... |

Waite & I have a mutual friend, when he was given his last contract my mate just laughed saying his knees [REDACTED]. Never going to be back to his best and wouldn't play regularly. Seems he was spot on. |
