AAMI Stadium. 7:40pm QLD time. 8:40pm VIC and NSW time (seems late). Rest of Australia - borrowed time. A win here, and Malthouse vs Buckley early edition is on the cards (as also noted by SB in another thread). |

Sort of hope we avoid a GF against the Filth. Despite the guaranteed win, I'd rather the build up continue to round 2. |

Send across an inexperienced side, give them some game time and have an honorable loss. Play Mitchell, Watson, McCarthy, Buckley, Dale, Curnow, AJ, Graham. Rest Jamison, Gibbs, Murphy, Robbo, Betts, Yarran, Casboult etc. Don't care about NAB Cup. I want to thrash Richmond Round One and then take on Collingwood with a full side in Round Two. ![]() |

So in order to us to trash Richmond we need to keep playing a fairly strong squad. |

If there are none, then a head of confidence and selfless attitude to win will be a bonus. Let's just hope Brisbane bop Collingwood on Sunday should we win, and leave the rivalry until Round 2. |

To give the side the best run of Mick's new game plan I say we want to win against Adelaide. If that means we play Collingwood in a NAB Grand Final so be it. We shouldn't shirk any possibility of playing the pies or any other opponent for that manner. Continuing in the NAB cup I believe is our best way of looking forward to Round 1 & 2 and more of the season proper. |

Understand the focus on Rnd 1 but last game we locals got in Adelaide was the Port massacre in Rnd 11 last year, so hoping we get something that helps slightly erase that memory.... |

2nd interstate trip and two 6 day breaks and it's only the nab cup - crap draw.... Time to play the kids who haven't had a game yet. It's all about rd 1 |

Surely CFC could do with an extra $200 000 in the bank? Plus the increased membership which may result with a finals appearance/win. |

Beating Adelaide and getting a crack at Collingwood in the NAB Cup would be great. Especially if we win the NAB Cup we get some confidence in beating teams 1, 3,4 and 5 from the season proper last season. Albeit the Sydney game was only 20/20 nonsense. The last 5 teams that have won the NAB Cup have gone on and made the top 4. I'd rather stay in it and prepare that way for Round 1 playing a couple of matches that may mean something. Especially getting to apply MM plans under pressure as well. If it is Carlton v Collingwood final both sides will be looking to win it without a shadow of doubt. Execute under the pump would be good practice for Rounds 1-4 make no bones about it our start is very difficult this season. |

I'd like to see how strong over the ball we are compared to the Round 8 pantsing we copped last time we played these "enhanced" Incredible Hulks last year at Etihad. |
